Hello,
The changes that a few sets have seen in the current PTS lead to many remarks, ultimately questioning their goal.
To begin, I do not see why such drastic revisions of relatively often used item sets should happen in a developed project. This concerns the development of this game in general: instead of minimal coherent adjustment, we often see the rulesets completely changed (even if I disliked how strong the healing was, this comment also applies there). As a result, there are always some sick metabuilds, and if someone returning to the game after a break wants to compete, they will have to follow all the patch notes and build videos to understand what is going on instead of using old solutions that perhaps have been gradually tuned. What I mean practically is that we could have seen for example a nerf to Ravager damage bonus instead of this weird mechanical change.
Another aspect is that the adjustment concerns the often used sets; I have nothing against the changes to Alessian order and Death Strike sets for example, even salute them to some extent. But why change something that appears to give good results? That it is OP? Ok, see above, one can do value nerfs without changing the mechanics. Although the changes to Seventh make me think that nerfing is not the goal, as well.
I see how to adapt to this change (I only used Ravager, and it can be replaced with Spriggans), what worries me is the direction, or lack thereof. There are plenty other issues in game (for me, most of them are about optimisation), and if those sets posed a problem, there are more minimal and conservative ways to adjust. The current result is better described by "annoying/disappointing" than "gamebreaking".
