Vampire should be reworked after the skill audit and some classes having no identity problem. Stam sorc and Stamplar in particular.

I really find it difficult to understand how people like vamps they way they are. Most vampire npcs have better abilities than players, the new vampire dungeon dlc will probably prove that even further. It just feels like a passive skill line for mages to take as a sub class and forget about. Just take it for those extra passives boosts.

In my honest opinion they should just remove a majority of those passives and add them to mages guild skill line instead or a new pvp skill line. It really ruins the immersion when it's just a skill line for passives and nothing more. Ooooh yeah it's also available in crown store (at the price of a new game) and new players will probably purchase this with real cash thinking its something different and cool.

They already revamped it: ZOS nerfed it in the ground a long time ago lol. Remember immortal (TRULY) immortal bats spamming emps?

I want drinking blood to have some kind of benefit, instead of "ugh, I accidentally fed on someone instead of using the blade of woe. Now I can't use my passives". Also giving vampires a better feeding animation would be nice.

Give Drain Essence the feeding animation. Reverse stages 1-4 so you have to keep at stage 4 by feeding. Switch the appearance of stage 1-4.

They made it the way it is now so players can roll vampire, not play a vampire, not have to feed and still retain all the benefits. It is the laziest skill line. At least fighters, mages, psijic, undaunted, and werewolf you have to have at least 1 skill or ultimate equipped.

But sadly they will never change it because This FREE PASSIVE is a Meta main stay and there would be a HUGE uproar if they ever changed it.

I've made a build that plays off of the feed synergy, but it's not ideal at all (trying to stealth, position behind target, correct position to use synergy, target not CC immune, and hope target isn't a vampire too). If feed dealt damage i think a harmony trait could be worth testing with for both the heal and damage. The build also relies on skoria to finish the kill while they're being fed on.

Another build I use is more of a "bomb" build with bat swarm.

    No thank you
    everyone

everyone plays vampire, huh... guess i’m no one. Decreased survivability for marginally better sustain (for magicka) — never really found a way to reconcile that for any of my characters.
    botched logic
    lore breaking vampires

Vampires work this way in TES, throughout the entire franchise. Inverse feeding benefits. You feed to be human and sate your monstrous side, you starve and become more feral — you are dangerous, wild, monstrous, but also weaker to fire, more fragile.

this trade off is a lore constant
    vampire too strong in pvp

Use fire. In fact, don’t ever not use fire, if everyone is a vampire...

Clouding Swarm needs to be reworked. It's completely useless and very clunky.
Baleful Mist is really bad too.

I'd like to see vampire go from being just a free regen buff that 90% of the player base uses to being an actual transformation.

I have been a vampire since they day i accidently got infected by an NPC. I just figured to go with the flow and be a creature of the night.

I do think the passives are great already, except in PVP with all the fire and brimstone skills killing me. But the skills themselves are pretty underwhelming. Mistform is great when it works (i still get stunned or immobilized sometimes) but the rest is pretty lackluster. I miss my old clouding swarm which made me invisible so i could spam concealed to perma stun victims.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

They need to remove all those passives. They shouldn't be taken for the sake of optimising builds via passive skills, it's a terrible idea and its not an accurate reflection of the vampire who game them to us in the first place (Lamae Bal).

For reasons unknown, the TES-Vampires are the sole "reversed" ones of every known vampire francise (at least known to me). It's completely bullsh** - an undead species relying on blood to survive becomes stronger if starved near to death? Why do they drink blood at all, if they don't need it to sustain their powers? Why do the living fear them so much? You can be a vampire (no, not a vampire, some kind of super-vampire called "scion", hell yeah)... fine, put on the ugly face, do the ten-minutes-introduction, skill the passives and then forget about everything else, because there is nothing else. No drawbacks in sunlight, no trouble with guards, no need to feed, just run around and do your stuff while walking right in the open among humans with your scarface . Almost same game with werewulves (at elast, they need to transform). Bah!! So many possibilities, but nothing made of it.

By using common, "non-reversed" vampires, they could build up an entire "hidden" world of vampires and werewulves like (for example) in Underworld:Revolution (but please, not Twilight, for gods sake). Dark, a bith gothic and mysterious, with ancient ones wielding immense powers, with different but allied orders (health/magica/stamina/whatever) and hideouts, dark caverns, sewers and lost castles. And of course with "superpowers" like no fall damage, enhanced speed and higher regeneration, but also serious drawbacks like massive sun damage and the constant need to feed on the living.

Let a secret war rage between vampires and werewulves, add the dawnguard as a skill line for mortals, assemble the military orders of Stendarr, Meridia and Arkay... create a new region, devastated by said war, add secret hideouts for both species all across Tamriel with their own teleportation links and infrastructure... here we go!

And ugly scarfaces only if somewhere something really went wrong and the vampire is almost starved to death!
