So when class change tokens coming?

This game desperately needs class change token. If upcoming patch goes live lot of people will try/change their class, and us poor peasants can't/won't blow fortune on all of that skill lines.

I believe ZoS said that arent looking to that currently (some time ago) and dropped the ussue entirely after.

    No reason for that.

They can sell you a extra character slot and with that they offer you Skyshards and Mage's/Fighters/Psijic Guild skill lines (next patch). Way more profiteable than class change.

    Also *** meta chasers :).

The game does not really -need- class changes... tho it would be a good addition.

However, the powers that be have decided against it, so until and unless they change their minds on that... the discussion is fruitless, and the question of "when" is not even on the table!

Remember when they've said that the store would be cosmetic only?

Im not saying ZoS cant change its mind. Im saying they made a comment denying this option and have since dropped the subject like a hot potato.

There is nothing to indicate they are going to change their mind on the issur unless it comes with a relatively steep monetization.

They are looking to make a profit at all times, and are pretty cagey in driving behaviors from the more casual player base to achieve said persistant profit.

I have a character for each class now, but I wouldn't mind a class change. Maybe restrict it to only one class change if "meta chasers" are an issue. But even so, meta chasers usually have characters in every class anyway. IMO this would mostly benefit casual players with one character. So actually unlimited class changes that cost a sum of crowns is something I support.

ZOS said very recently they're not doing class change tokens ...

You can level up a new character (in a new class) in less than a day.

After they decided to sell skyshards and the recently announced skill-lines, I'm convinced they aren't doing class changes due to technical reasons.

Well since next patch introduce the selling of guild progression for alt so class change would be counter productive.

But the one after will probably introduce lvl 50 char and main quest progression for alt.

So that why you can make multiple purchase to get a fully leveled character, with skychards and guild lvl.

    Massuve $$$ for zos.

    Soon. I hope.

I made a thread asking for this as well.

This game has horizontal progression. Its the fastest MMO where you can start from scratch and reach end game.

Why is it the only mmo where class change token seems to be a popular demande ?

Leveling or picking up skyshards, lorebooks are not the problem for me. It's the achievements. I only have two char that i've been using for a long time. That's why i don't bother creating alts, just looking at unfinished world map bothers me.

You don't have to be a meta chaser to dislike playing your main after a long line of nerfs.

I would like a class change so i can catch up on 4 years worth of achievements and still enjoy other classes without feeling as though its wasted time .

Also my Warden has had such an identity crisis ever since launch..

Beyond losing your achievements and alliance war ranks on your main etc.. I do feel that with so many recent drastic changes to class skills sometimes I don't recognise or enjoy playing my original class as much anymore.. would it be so bad to offer class change token? After all they gave us the race change tokens when they made the race changes which is fair.. Would it be so bad to offer class change token for the big changes in the upcoming patches? Class change token would freshen things up and enable some people with not as much time like me to continue enjoy playing ESO one main character.. even if you are only allowed to do it once per account or something

I'd rather see at least a "class unlock" -- that is, a class change token, BUT any class change tokens that you have previously bought, can be bought again at 0 cost -- thereby allowing you to change back later at no cost.

Zos won't offer this when they are pushing the skill lines for crowns. This is their new direction.

Not that it is needed. Since making and leveling toons is pretty easy.

Yes, and when Trion said it, when Turbine said it, when .... you see the pattern here.

Anyone who was playing at the time for whom ESO wasn't their first MMO knew ZOS were lying through their teeth the moment they said it .. it was only a matter of when the lie became apparent, just as it was with Rift and LoTRO.

Just as repair kits in ESO are P2W, so they are in Fallout '76 .. given we're taking about the same parent organisation it's hardly surprising '76 followed in ESO's path, yet Bethesda lied many times last year that '76's store would be 'cosmetic only'.

Zenimax and its subs are as discredited as EA, Activision and Ubi-Soft as far as MTX abuse is concerned IMO.

In fairness, that's what people asked for, and while they thought they were entitled to it all being provided account-wide for free it was very clear that such things would only ever be made available - if at all - through the Crown Store. Personally I'd have preferred that ZOS hadn't caved in at all but at least this way it's generating some additional revenue for the game as well as rebuffing all those who feel they're entitled to have everything in life handed to them for free.

ZOS had stated that skyshards would never come too crownstore, it has.
ZOS had stated that guilds would never come too crownstore, it will.

That ZOS had said that something wont happen means nothing for me. ADD CLASS CHANGE TOKENS!

The game is already milking enough money out of it's users. They have NO need for extra revenue FOR THIS GAME.

But milking money out of ESO for their future in development game.. Yaaah, can see that.
