I am really curious what everyone is seeing among their friends and communities as the reaction to the PTS patch. I mostly do PVE and trading and occasional PVP in Cyrodiil and I have a good handle how my immediate friends are reacting but I am honestly curious how more hardcore PVPers, or RPers or even the wider PVE community feel about it.
I'll be honest, myself and many of my friends are frustrated. All of us are experianced players, none of them have been playing less than a year and some of them since beta. Even though we've still got weeks before this goes live many of us logged in yesterday and didn't even really play. It feels kind of pointless at the moment, instead we all just chatted about what we hate about the patch, specifically the PVE stuff.
All non templar healers are at a serious disadvantage, and even the templars will be way less able to heal. Dps is going to take a huge hit based on some of the pts parses we were discussing. Dungeons and play in general will be much slower, and well, less fun. Who wants to grind through dungeons we used to burn through?
We all have serious doubts about the direction things are going with game design and unfortunately don't really have enough information about their intentions to cause less worry.
The changes have all of us bummed and not really wanting to play much. People are already discussing whether or not its worth it to adapt to the changes or find something else for a while, or even just walk away from ESO.
I love my friends and the community we have in ESO and I hate that this patch has so many changes that people are wondering whether its worth it. I'm really curious whether my group is taking it a bit harder than others or this is a wider thing in the PVE community? Im also curious, if you like the changes, why? Are you primarily PVE or PVP?
