But NMG just provides one stack of ravager. Admittedly I haven’t tested it, but in a PvP situation I think Ravager is dead. A set like TFS could potentially proc it well enough but the issue is in getting it to reproc to full if TFS doesn’t fall off enough. It’s a really weird change. People bitched and ruined a great set that was only really effective on Stamplar and helped them be competitive. Too bad. There may be ways of making it useful in PvE but I doubt it will be BiS or even second best.

It only really effective because (I assume deliberatly) ZOS refused to "fix" the set so it worked correctly for everyone for ... reasons. So for example my DW Stamden could not proc Ravager using Rapid Strikes spammable, yet, your Templar using Jabs would.

If they had "fixed" it Ravager would have spread across even more builds. You just can't have a Heavy Set dominating DPS.

That's because Jabs is an Aedric Spear skill. It procs the burning light passive, which is direct damage.

It was used effectively on a number of classes, it just shined on Stamplar. I’m biased as a Stamplar but I think that was an okay thing.

I immediately though of Ravager + Two Fanged Snake when reading the patch notes. But I understand it won't work because TFS raises your pen rather than reducing your enemy's armour?

What has nothing to with anything as (Old) Ravager procs off of "Melee Damage".

(5 items) When you deal melee damage, you have a 8% chance to increase your Weapon Damage by 645 for 10 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
