DOT durations all over the place

In the previous patch strategy was to align skill durations so that rotations are smoother.
Now with the new changes durations are all different again

Sorc:

Daedric prey 6s
Haunting curse 12s
Volatile familiar is 8s
Lightning splash 8s or 12s

Nightblade:

Cripple is 10s
Twisting/refreshing path 12s
Shade 18+2s with the passive

Templar:

Sunfire is 8+2s or 12+2s with passive
Solar barrage is 8+2s with passive
Spear shards 8s
Backslash 6s with POTL debuff 9s

Necro:

Boneyard 10s
Syphon 12s
Skeletal Mage/Archer 16s

Warden:
Swarm 10s
Impaling shards 12s

DK:
Searing strike 10+2s with passive
Fiery breath 10+2s with passive
Inferno 15s channel?

Stamina weaps and skill lines:

Volley is 8s or 12s, possibly with 2s delay
Poison arrow is 10s

Twin slashes are 10s
Blade cloak is 8s or 12s

Cleave is 10s

Caltrops are 10s or 15s
Trap is 10s or 18s with 10s buff (mind boggling)

Magicka weaps and skill lines:

Mages guild entropy is 10+2s with passive
Wall of elements is 8s or 12s

This will mess up the rotations.
Please feel free to add or suggest corrections. I didn't cover all the skills, just wanted to start the conversation.

Bunch of updates and added classes.
I don't DK so please suggest their durations.

    Mages guild entropy is 10s

    is 12 seconds with the mages guild passive "Everlasting Magic"
    Wall of elements is 8s or 10s

    is 8 or 12 seconds depending on the morph


    Volley is 8s or 10s

    is actually 10 or 14 becuase it takes 2 seconds to start doing damage.
    Twin slashes are 9s

    is 10 seconds

    Trap is 10s or 18s with 10s buff

    is 10 seconds or 18 seconds buffs-
    The Minor Force will now properly line up with the duration rather than being 2 seconds longer.
    This morph no longer places a new trap in the area after the original duration ends, but instead increases the duration of the DoT applied, up to 18 seconds at Rank IV. The damage per tick has increased by approximately 33%, since it was lower than the base morph.


    as you can see, all dots are now 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, you ought to be able to figure out a rotation that lines up.

    read the quote before the morph description, the minor force will line up with the duration of the dot. come on man. this is not that hard to understand.

    They claim it only for the base ability, but not for the morph. It may be either way, but most likely if the buff would increase - they would explicitly mention it.

    I actually think that magicka skill durations don't look bad at all at first glance. There are some outliers that might warrant another look, mostly Cripple and Pet-Sorc skills, but other than those...

    wall is being changed in the next patch, to 8 seconds to unstable and 12 for element blockade.
    Wall of Elements:

    Increased the duration of this ability and its morphs to 8 seconds from 6 seconds.

    These abilities will now rank up in damage per rank, rather than cost reduction.

    Decreased the cost to 3024 from 3510.

    Decreased the damage per tick by approximately 33%.

    Elemental Blockade (morph): Increased the duration from this ability to 9 seconds from 8 seconds, which ranks up to 12 seconds. It also no longer reduces in cost per rank.

    Unstable Wall of Elements (morph):
    This morph no longer reduces in cost per rank, but increases in explosion damage.
    Increased the damage of the explosion by approximately 94%.
    Fixed an issue where the final DoT tick was being consumed by the explosion.

    Updated based on comments above. Added bunch of classes.
    Basically durations are anywhere between 6,8,10,12,14,15,16 seconds for DOTs.
    Attached to them buffs/debuffs are even more confusing.

    Shade is affected by the same passive as Path, so its maximum duration is 20s.

    Might want to add Haunting Curse, which should be 12s.

    After adding more classes it still looks wonky to me.
    I get the morph options to chose between lets say 6 and 8 and 12s so you opt for 6 s rotation (casting longer skill every other time) or opt for 8s rotation.

    But some other skills are odd 10 or 15s.

    It just does not add up with the claim of aligning everything to the standards. I fail to see the standards here :disappointed:
