Single target DoT vs AoE DoT flaw in the logic: Stepping out of the AoE vs Lingering Single target

All AoE damages have been nerfed roughly 30% and their cost has been increased by another 30%. The logic behind this was that AoE damage should not be superior to singletarget.
However, you are not taking in account that AoE damage can be avoided simply by not standing on it, while single target dots will linger on the target and can only be removed by purging effect. While I agree the damage numbers in this game have been skyrocketing lately (especially with multiple necromancers ), I think this AoE DoT nerf is too strong considering without someone to hold your enemies in place they do nothing.

most of the time that is 1-6 targets and you need to face tank all of them or have a tank to hold them on the AoE. Not saying the nerfs are unjustified but I think ZoS is overdoing them. These changes are making separate builds for single target and AoE fights almost mandatory (need to check wether blockade and class-AoEs are worthy of using in single target fight), among the addons that allow for quick gear&skill swap. In the current patch switching 1-2 skills is usually enough.

The changes kind of make sense to me, but I think it would be more logical if AoEs either cost more OR do less damage.
