If I've enjoyed a product for some time and the parent company has repeatedly devalued and reduced its quality, I'm also well within my rights as a consumer to give negative feedback about this. In fact, feedback is one of the few ways that customers can influence produce improvement. Your simplistic view of things is unhelpful.

You have every right to be angry with the changes. But my only suggestion if you love the game, give it some time and see if you can adapt. Many of us did with Morrowind.

In terms of people leaving after Morrowind, I suspect a good chunk were looking for a reason to leave. Or they were just bad players with minimal adaptability skills *shrugs*

I quit around that time. I've quit a handful of times, and its it's always been because heavy handed nerfs.

Same. I keep checking official forums for official patch notes to see any fixes to bugs like stuck in combat or sprint and see if they have made any performance fixes or server upgrades. Looks like the leaked patch notes are all real and I'm gonna keep playing Final fantasy 14.
