    Examine the core reason why players don't queue as tanks. I don't think it is due to a lack of damage output. With the suggestion posted above, I think you'd get more fake tanks. DPS queuing as a tank with Ice Staff in order to get a juicy 50% damage boost. I haven't run the numbers, but I'm pretty sure that leaps above fire staff as best in slot at that point. You'd just get lowbies using those weapons on tanks, dps and whatever. It will not make those players useful tanks simply by putting an ice staff in the hands of all magicka dps. I can tell you what it will do is cause chaos as taunts are flying around from everyone just by heavy attacking.

    One could argue that a tank and healer are unnecessary in easier content but a tank certainly becomes a necessity at some point along that difficulty scale. That's a variable point that will depend on the skill level of the rest of the group. Some groups might destroy vet Scalecaller with no dedicated tank while very new inexperienced groups will require a full tank for even normal Fungal Grotto 1.

    Just keep kicking the fake tanks (even in content where it doesn't matter) in order to send a message. If fake tanks get kicked often enough, they will stop at some point. Encouraging the behavior only leads to more of that behavior, increasing the presence of the problem.

    For questing overland stuff? You can do it naked with no cp no food already.
    Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    Agree that's exactly what has happened to WoW, they've changed the game to cater more for players who CBA to learn, cba to work for stuff and just want everything now with as least effort as possible, that's what has ruined WoW, That's the main reason I just quit WoW and came back to ESO, i remember having to actually learn and learn to play and having challenging content that needed thought to defeat, Been back a couple of weeks I can clearly see its going in the same direction.

    This is why private wow servers are proliferating and scores and scores of people are chomping at the bit for classic wow.

    The population on Elysium has exploded in recent weeks just with people stoked about classic and don't wanna wait.

    I disagree. I leveled 3 healers and 2 tanks with no problems doing overland, PvP and dungeon content. I can understand some QoL changes, but even without xp boosts, we already level way too quickly and easily imho. I just don't see a need for buffs in this area.

    I wouldn't be entirely against it in overland zones/quest locations only as questing on a tank/healer without having alt spec skills or gear can be pretty tiresome after a while.
