Faction lock, keep it or remove it

Faction lock should had always been part of the game in the first place.

Honestly, it is too early in for me to make a judgement call on it. I understand both sides of the discussion, sans those who are just exploiting for AP farming. I only play one faction, all I have ever doing is fight for DC. I will say that faction chat has been better since it's implementation.

Edit:
I think it is something that needs to be watched for three or four campaign cycles, allowed to normalize. The full impact of faction lock isn't something that will be felt in less that one campaign.

LOL. I do not think this poll will be any more useful than the other identical polls on the subject we have seen the past few weeks. It certainly does not approach the subject from a unique well thought out perspective.

I do not favor faction locks but for the reasons I have stated I will not vote in a pointless poll.

I understand why people prefer it the other way, but the game itself is better this way.

I wish faction was changed to an account setting though.

Friends who want to play together will find a way. Doesn't take long to level a character and you can do it with friends in the below 50 campaign then jump back in with the big boys.

The polls let Zenimax see what the community thinks. You want something constructive? Fine, yes I think the faction lock is needed. It makes people be loyal to their alliance, it stops exploiting and it keeps many trolls out of zone chat. If people want to play with their friends there are ways to do that in different campaigns.

How about you suggest something instead of just negativity.

Honestly a 30 minute faction hold would stop most of the silliest annoyances. If you couldn't go to another campaign or BG during that 30 minutes it'd stop all but the most dedicated trolls from swapping to troll. The most dedicated trolls probably already bought alt account(s) so...

Polls are voted on by a small number of players who do not represent the community as a whole.

There are no longer enough active pvp campaigns left to make faction lock work without punishing loyal old veteran players who now have chars in all 3 alliance but no longer can play them.
Most players just level new chars to play on the other side when your side is dominating and playing the overpowered faction would just be dull or want to play with friends.

As for winning the campaign the faction lock did nothing. The faction who pvdoors the best in the off-hours wins and ZOS just does not really implement something against that.

Faction lock, absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt. Quality of fights, zone chat, and to an extent the players, are so much better now.

If you want to have faction locks then give the players a faction change tokens. Many players have several characters assigned to different factions. Having faction change tokens a player could combine all their characters into a single faction of their choice. Then faction locks wouldn't be a issue for many players.

I would say keep it but considering half my characters are now unplayable despite being told to make characters on all alliances to see which i liked more when i started a lil over year ago..

Make it an 20 hour or one day lock.
Benefit, you can play with multipe guilds but not swap tacticaly.
You can select an faction earch day not sure if this is an problem

Faction lock is one of the best things zos have (re)added. No point in making characters in different alliances, pick a side/colour and stay with them.

Personally I liked it, as it brings back a little meaning to alliance selection and representation.

There are options for who want to play all characters in multiple factions, though maybe a 30 campaign for them wouldn't be a bad idea.

They should have implemented it from the start, its too late now. So many of my characters are redundant now and instead of filling other campaigns its just made the 30 day campaign less busy.

They did have it implemented at the start, they removed it later down the line...

when it jsut gone cyrodil situation has very very worsen, a tons of spies, almost nobody stayed loyal to his alliance, more trolls *** up alliance battles etc with not to mention possibility to move all organized groups into single side without any drawbacks which was *** alliances even more

with faction lock we can have finally again loyality to our alliances, not hoping people from alliance to alliance because here was worse and here is better....in short with faction lock we have good order between alliances

btw Im not usre about now as I play less now....but as for now when Im playing I stopped to see momens on main 30 day campaigns 3bar/lock vs 1/2 bar vs/1 bar
