How to level up to get vigor?

Do i only get exp in that skill line by doing pvp quests? Or is it like most skills that if i slot skills in that line i get exp in that line when i get any exp? How does that work?

In a nutshell just go to Cyrodiil. If you want to mix it up and fight you’ll have it in 2 hours or less. If you are one of those folks who loathes everything about PVP just go there, buy some wall repair kits and port to every outside ring keep your alliance owns and repair the walls. You’ll have it in a day that way.

Assault and Support skill lines can only be leveled by earning AP. The skills themselves level with normal XP like any other skill.

Get AP. Take keeps, resources, towns. Kill enemies, heal and rez allies. Repair towers, walls, and doors. Do quests from the mission boards and town npcs.

Even if you don't know you are doing can win flag games. Just select them or give fate to random.

BGs or Cyrodiil. You can easily zerg surf (which basically means to follow around a zerg as they take Keeps) and you'll have it within a day. Knock out some of the PvP dailies to expedite the process, or you can do the PvE dailies in Cyrodiil but this will take a lot longer.

Btw the town dalies give ap too so can do that.

I did the repair keep thing for the most part and got into a few group fights, had it in a day. Was kind of fun actually just not a big PVPer though.

It’s a good way to dip your toes in for sure. It’s not for everyone. At least you gave it a try!

exactly this. It can be done in about 4 hours without even taking a swing at another player with enough wall repair kits

…..or you can just wait for Mid-year Mayhem when AP falls from the sky.

Try battlegrounds. Quick, easy and gets fun. Throw on some cheap appropriate gear and if you are under 50 you'll get kills too. Won't take much effort to get caltrops as well.

The alliance skill lines level by earning AP. The skills level by having them slotted and earning xp.

You can level the skill lines just by doing random battlegrounds, because they give 7k AP each match just for losing. You can have those precious skills unlocked in just an hour or two without doing much.

Just get the AP and they unlock. After that they will need to be slotted to rank them up individually but that’s the same as every skill.

Honestly, if this is what i have to do to get warhorn and vigor and caltrops then i'm pretty sure i dont want any of them.

I don't like BG's either but have always just gone into Cyrodiil. I guess if you're not prepared to do any PVP, you'll have to do without.

There are plenty of PVP'ers who complain about having to leave Cyrodiil to level up other skill lines. If you grumble too much about it they'll come out of the woodwork - and you don't want that

You have to earn AP to get the Alliance War skills. Regular XP doesn't do anything for it unfortunately. There are lots of options available, several good ones in this thread. Really just depends on the kind of PvP fights you enjoy/can tolerate!

You can get them both in a day in under two hours at prime time if you pay attention to the map and use seige weapons when defending and such meatbags, scattshot trebuchets etc.

Its really not that difficult despite how daunting it seems.

Try the domination battleground. It's more of a capture the flag game, as opposed to killing players. I quite like it, and u dislike PvP myself.

If your team is very likely to finish in the top two of a battleground with a minute to go, remember to use an xp scroll if you have one, as it will level your alliance skiĺls faster.

Don’t bother with Cyrodiil, do battlegrounds. I’d say you need about 20 to get it unlocked, it takes a bit of time but it’s not that hard.

I find playing low level battlegrounds makes the vigor/caltrops grind go by quickly.

You level them with xp which means having them slotted in your bar
Best way I've found is completing random dungeon on that(vigor /caltrops) bar or turning in pledges or quests on that bar.

You definitely do want Vigor and Caltrops.... don’t worry about BG’s if you don’t like them. Literally just hang around a few fights in Cyrodil and get stuck in.... you will die... doesn’t matter...When it’s quiet fix a few walls....this is how I got started..... you might grow to love it... I did

equip a resto staff, write lfg in zone chat, press mutagen once every like 30 seconds and yeah thats the lazy and easy way out. Youll probably have it in like an hour or two depending on how big your zerg is.
