Elsweyr has brought us a alot of buggy skills, but one of them is so broken strong that its hard to believe zenimax consideres it balanced. Here is an in depth showcase of the strongest build that ever roamed non-CP/CP.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5ckU1MtZ-4

Recommendations based on max values:
- the max hit on people is 18-20k depending on crit resist without cp
- bash ult gets buffed 100% by snb bash passive, this needs to be fixed
- bash ult gets buffed by bash glyph (which to be honest isnt actually that much more then weapon dmg glyph)
- > fix bash multplicators and reduce pummeling dmg by 50% in addition

even after the adjustments you can still hit 5k bashes every 0,5 secs which is still 10k aoe dps and decently strong.

build used in the video https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=138177

To everyone not seeing how overpowered it is:
Its hitting 8-21k crits every 0,5 secs. Most people in no cp are dead after 1 second and vicious death kills the rest. There is no counterplay or l2p issue here.
Its a bomber with invis pots, he can sneak up onto every zerg like any nightblade and bomb them at chokes.

Not even a magdk with bats to old standards would be solo able to whipe a organized 15 man raid with discord, raidbuffs and dedicated healers. And even less in no-Cp

Its not a matter of viability, this build obviously dies like any other non-cp build without strong defensive mechanics. But the dmg output while still able to move/pull is definetly the strongest that was ever seen balanced by zenimax.

Been playing a Stamcro in PVP since the update on June 4th XBOXNA. Have only been killed by bash once in a week. Seems not be as big as an issue to me in 30 day standard cp Cyro as it is made out to be on the forums.

Fair enough. I was conflating log-in and loading screens.

As a human with a functioning brain, I'm sick of people whining about people complaining about blatantly, obviously, and undeniably overpowered things. Goliath bash is one of if not the most overpowered things we've ever seen in this game.

In the 7K necro bash OMG thread, someone described a great way to defeat the Big Bash, and that was to retreat from/LoS the player until the ulti ran out, then pack them up.

That guy, of course, did it ALL wrong, the appropriate response is to rush up and stand in front of specialised bash builds (and that's what they are, little different to a bomber) and whack away at it futilely until it bashes you to death, then have the red mist come down, and rush to furiously type at how OP it is on the forums. Bonus points if you can get a Zos employee to mod your post, extra bonus points if the authorities have to visit your house to ask you to tone down the screamed obscenities.

No bonus points if it upsets you so much you have a brain aneurysm. That's just too much rage, and you have a problem.

Man how do you find people to stand in an ult? Where are these people standing in ults/ getting hit? Where?

    I need their numbers

Can’t even find people in below 50 flag BGs who will stand in ults.

Is this a troll? Not even close to some of the strongest builds in eso history. Why would you even try and face tank this sort of build.. if that's not a blatant L2P then I don't know what is.

Not an answer I'd normally give (and one I normally rail against), but L2P.

It's a new type of bomber. That's all.

Yeah, definitely a L2P issue. I mean they only have 50k+ health and can bash weave with any of their attacks for insane damage, or just spam bash for insane damage which bypasses the otherwise universal global cooldown. And it's AoE. The only counterplay is to kite/runaway from them for 20 seconds. That's not counterplay, that's just running. The ability is objectively overpowered and if you think otherwise you are simply wrong.

I don't know... Maybe kiting while hitting them with ranged to charge your own ult for when it's over is straight out...

Right, because the goliath just stands there. It's not like it still has full access to all of its skills to gap close, cc, get major expedition, and cleanse snares.

Again, the only realistic option is to runaway for 20 seconds. That's not legitimate counterplay.

The bash still costs stamina, avoid the bash, hit the giant target with ranged, be careful of the pull (that has it's own cooldown) and wait it out. You'll have a target drained of Stam when it's all over... It's only a few weeks into playing/playing against necromancers... Try different tactics.

So it's tactical kiting when you're playing "ring around the resource" but "running away" when you need to stay out of melee range of an ult that also drains a main resource pool? Intriguing.

For real though this thing still gives access to all your on bar abilities the fact that people are saying kite it out and such is beyond funny and makes me think they want to try it out for themselves.

I would have an easier time defending this thing if it was a slow hulking Goliath but it can move just like a normal player speed boosts and all. "Avoid the bash or don't stand in the ult" is insanely funny as well and makes me slightly concerned that ppl don't realize for starters SnB can bash for days with its passive, and necros have amazing sustain not to mention pots if needed. Lastly its not a drop ult in one spot and move along ability, it becomes apart of the user for 20 seconds lol.

So, because necro class is broken, lets nerf 1h&s for every one else... *logic*
^ This way of thinking is the reason why certain races, classes & playstyles in eso are beoynd useless, despite the fact that they were never op, or broken, or even close to that state on its own.

It is not like I use necro or bash builds (tbh. I have never heard of bash beeing good / meta till necro arrived and it suddenly became OP Broken... )
It is almost the same scenario as with Summerset.

Summerset introduced infused jewelry, and as a result Arginians got nerfed (3x infused potion cooldown glyph). Funny thing is you can still run this setup (not only on Argonian) and have excelent sustain. Did they nerfed it ? Of course not. It was new, paid content, thus it had to be OP. So they went for Argonian passives instead...

I fear that the same will happen in this case. Necro is part of new paid content. 1h&s or bash glyphs are not. So um... yeah... I cant see this ending well...

I'm not here to argue semantics. Call it kiting, call it running away, it doesn't matter. Kiting because you're outnumbered and need to find opportunities to pick off opponents while LoSing is reasonable. Kiting for 20 seconds because one person used an ultimate is a joke.

There are always two sides to anything. A necro can be a meme monster and it can be a very tanky blob destroyer. And the Goliath is an illegal spell. You can laugh about illegal in PvP. It remains illegal within the games ruleset. The Goliath is a star if you saw the latest trailer. He is not an accident of the devs.

OP is a wrong word, because there is no equal. Are Templer or Warden selfheals OP ? Is it unfair that the Templer was build to stand ? Trying to equalize all and everything turns the game into glop.

Oliphaunts OP ! Nerf bows !

Ye it's not as overpowered as some people say..
    simply
    block,
    kite,
    root,
    stun the goliath..

I had a lot of 1on1s in no CP on my stam necro...with my bash bomb build while in goliath form I wasn't able to kill a single decent player.

Well, did you play at 1.6.?
That was the patch of magDK ultra godmode. A single magDK was able to take down small army.
It has it's impact even now. The devs rarely buff DKs (even though in PvE magDKs definitely need help from devs) because of patch 1.6. They are scarred that something like that will happen again.

Goliath ult is strong, but it is nowhere near 1.6. magDK. That was the strongest spec I remember.
