    Zos has stated solo play is intended and they want it to be a part of pvp. Try again.

    Where is it stated? Also define solo play.

    Currently “solo 1vXers” simply build to tank, deal high immediate burst damage, and hug trees all day

    What if it was only one soldier vs the whole army and that one soldier won?

    Solo play is literally only possible when fighting potatoes when my 4 man group encounters a tree huggers/ rock rollers we simply leave, thus the 1vXer cannot get his one shot burst combo off and is forced to engage on terrain of our choosing or leave us alone.

    You realize there was an actual guy who held off a bunch of people on a bridge single handedly right? Although he went on to die in the most cowardly way possible he left his mark on history and that battle. Then there was a guy in one of the world wars (Look up Jack G. Hanson) who not only managed to stop the enemies but save some allies in the process.

    I dont think you want to use real life or go down a history timeline, especially comparing it to a video game.

    Solo play’s fine I think. Good on you if you can take on multiple people solo, that’s an accomplishment.

    Only thing I don’t like is when people ask for buffs to be able to do it, or more tools so it’s easier.

    Either you’re able to do it because you’re a great player and don’t need buffs, or you want a mechanic added so you can do what better players can do without the buff. Nothing entitles you to be a good player, and for pvp to be decent there needs to be an even playing field.

    I disagree. Necro doesn’t need buffs for solo play we don’t need more mag sorc like classes in the game. If you’re a good player you will be able to 1vX on necro right now.

    It’s not hard to 1vX just build for high damage and kite, magcro has good damage.

    When I say solo, I don't just mean trying to put together some sort of 1vX highlight reel for youtube. I don't even go to Cyrodiil very often at all, preferring to do the vast majority of my PvP in Battlegrounds (virtually always queuing for random). And while BGs are 4v4v4 (assuming all 3 teams actually fill up, which certainly isn't a guarantee at high MMR), there are still plenty of times you might find yourself in a 1v1, 1v2, 2v4, etc...situation, especially in objective-based games. Neither Magicka Wardens nor Magicka Necromancers are particularly good for an offensive role in these situations - their damage is too easily shut down, allowing opponents to stay on the offensive for the vast majority of the fight.

    I personally think it's a big design flaw if certain class(es) are only valuable as healers, or within highly coordinated small/medium groups, or when zerging.

    Group play is often used as an excuse to make trash classes look less trash and circumvent L2P issues.

    Mag needs to be tanky and somehow rely on ground aoes....screams support.... and Stam is just a Weapon skill line with a couple different class additions.

It means they can actually recognize the class is lacking in certain aspects.

    I disagree. Necro doesn’t need buffs for solo play we don’t need more mag sorc like classes in the game. If you’re a good player you will be able to 1vX on necro right now.

    It’s not hard to 1vX just build for high damage and kite, magcro has good damage.

    Magcro has zero mobility.

    Magcro has to rock RAT or be a vamp I guess. But this isn’t a new development, DK and temp have the same issue.

    Magcro is def supposed to be a hold your ground style class. Mobility still needed to get into advantageous spots to drop your aoe stuff and ult behind the zerglings as they go all blood hungry.

    Kite into corners with extra crap in the way to Los, put your back against a wall...drop ice blockade/fear totem/grave yard... drop the colossus ult behind the kids after they’ve engaged... hit the synergy if it ever works on boneyard.

    Only way I can see magcro working. And this basically means it only kills potatoes

    Just reading what you write i can tell your a zergling and have no clue how solo works. Necro isnt good solo, thats just the truth. It doesnt have to be another magsorc, but me and many other players would like it to be viable.

    During the BG I just completed, I managed to get out of combat with something like 65% health remaining. Cool, might as well heal up with the Intensive Mender, right? That way I can get the extra regen from the passive, too! Well...7 full duration Intensive Menders later (which adds up to 56 seconds of real time), my Stage-4 Vampire had regenerated back to around 80% hp, while receiving exactly 0 heals from my Mender pet. I wasn't LOSing it, and no one else was taking the heals, it just refused to do anything except float around on top of me. Hopefully this won't be like the bug from Morrowind's release where my Warden's Blue Betty went for a few months without the cleanse portion of the skill actually functioning...the Magicka versions of the two classes already have enough in common as it is.
