Anyone liking Rimmen?

This city has everything and the best layout in the game IMO! Writs, crafting stations, a bank, guild stores, a respec shrine and even a RP tavern! lol Everything is conveniently laid out and I save a ton of time doing writs here. Rimmen is like Rawl, Mournhold, Eldenroot, Vivec City and Riften all in one! I left Rawl and mained Rimmen now. The city is very well designed and worth the price of the expansion pack for me considering I only have to spend 30 mins a day on writs instead of 45 mins, well worth the money!

YES! Every time I use the shrine to go somewhere in the immediate area, I take a few moments to admire the scenery. It's so beautiful <3

Haven't been there yet. Is this one of "those cities" where you have to "liberate" it before you can use it? Have to say that's a mechanism I just HATE....

Nope. If you're in Riverhold, head east out of the south gate. It's the next wayshrine you run into.

LOL, I hate those too. Nothing like heading right into a new zone right before logging out and realizing you're stuck in the middle of a warzone and can't easily find a wayshrine. GRRR, Greenshade grrrr. Or was that Malabal Tor? Can't remember.

Don't get too excited. Even though it's usable by default, there's not much in Rimmen.
Most of the buildings are locked. Which is quite a shame. That sort of detail makes the difference between a convincing immersive city (like Orsinium) and a rushed cardboard popup (like the fake grocery store just for show in The Interview)

So meh, not a big fan of Rimmen. Also don't think that the Elsweyr architecure is an improvement compared to the original Khajiit style homes... Elsweyr buildings are far too dark and have monotonous drab colours. A far cry from the rich spices, vibrant fabrics, and glimmering gold ornaments that we associate with the warm sands of Elsweyr...

Yeah. I look up every city on google before I even THINK about going there. Might have been Malabal, though Greenshade has one too.... They ALL have one. It's like the devs have no creativity....

Elsweyr doesn't have one, so woo hoo! I've been everywhere in the zone-- I'm still in scouting and delving mode-- and haven't run into anything. I wonder if the devs have found players hate it. So far, the big combat zones have been sort of sectioned off, whether segregated by walls or instances. Exploration's been really nice since there don't seem to be any areas with dense and concentrated trash mobs.

I like Rimmen in terms of appearance, its a really cool looking City, but as far as usability, i still prefer my usual standby's of VIvec, Mournhold, with a side of Stormhold and Alinor. they all feel faster and more convenient than Rimmen to me.

@bluebird - eh, I like the architecture, but yeah, I do think the devs didn't do any favors. It's kind of a bummer - I really wanted Elsweyr to be..... SUPER special. I've always been feline at heart, and I was.... wanting Elsweyr to be my kitty home....

It's neat. But it's not SUPER special. At least not what I've seen of it yet.

The shapes are similarly South/East Asian inspired, which is cool. But the colours are quite different.
Khenarthi's Roost and Reaper's March have mostly warm cream or pale yellow walls, oranges, some muted reds and lots of gold. Elsweyr has washed out camel colours, pale browns, undefineable greys and the occasional chipped red paint on the walls. OG Khajiit is more vibrant and more ornate and perhaps a bit more fantasy MMO-like, while Elsweyr is a bit too realistic and uninspired in its colour palette. It wouldn't be that terrible in itself, but I would have expected the homeland of the Khajiit to be more like the Khajiit, not a toned-down de-clawed version that pales in comparison to their periphery settlements.

Edit: Added a pic for comparison - left is OG Khajiit right is Elsweyr. The style is still good, but the colours are far worse imo. If I had to guess which one was a capital and which one a backwater town, I wouldn't guess that the right is supposed to be the opulent and comfortable heart of the Khajiiti empire.

There is no Khajiiti Empire, it's the Elsweyr Confederacy, and Rimmen isn't the heart of it. Torval's the defacto Capital of Elsweyr since it's where the Mane lives.

I ❤ Rimmen. I love the buildings, it's a fusion of Japanese, Indian, Moroccan and Thai I feel.
I ❤ The Rimmen crafting area, it's one of the best design wise and ambiance wise. I really appreciate that you can start at one end, pick up both boards' writs and do the loop and you're done then you simply ride out and your'e pretty much at the hand in spot.
I ❤ that the dailies are very close to the wayshrine.
I ❤ that both houses in Rimmen are close to the wayshrine and all the ammenities. Great design.
I ❤ all the lil detais like the khajiit that sings and plays a sintar type instrument by the cooking area...I often stop and listen to her beautiful singing and music.
I ❤ how Rimmen is buzzing with activity and busy locals even if some are just busy gossiping 😆
I think Rimmen is a beautiful city and I have settled in. It is my new home now. First day I set my cat eyes on this jewel i knew it would be mine...and it is...home.🐾😼
