It's the main city in the game...

Nope. If you're in Riverhold, head east out of the south gate. It's the next wayshrine you run into.

Thanks. I get to feeling snakebit with cities you can use until you "liberate" them.... *sigh* Stupid mechanic....
Don't get too excited. Even though it's usable by default, there's not much in Rimmen.Sylvermynx wrote: »jainiadral wrote: »Sylvermynx wrote: »Haven't been there yet. Is this one of "those cities" where you have to "liberate" it before you can use it? Have to say that's a mechanism I just HATE....

LOL, I hate those too. Nothing like heading right into a new zone right before logging out and realizing you're stuck in the middle of a warzone and can't easily find a wayshrine. GRRR, Greenshade grrrr. Or was that Malabal Tor? Can't remember.

Yeah. I look up every city on google before I even THINK about going there. Might have been Malabal, though Greenshade has one too.... They ALL have one. It's like the devs have no creativity....

Most of the buildings are locked. Which is quite a shame. That sort of detail makes the difference between a convincing immersive city (like Orsinium) and a rushed cardboard popup (like the fake grocery store just for show in The Interview)
So meh, not a big fan of Rimmen. Also don't think that the Elsweyr architecure is an improvement compared to the original Khajiit style homes... Elsweyr buildings are far too dark and have monotonous drab colours. A far cry from the rich spices, vibrant fabrics, and glimmering gold ornaments that we associate with the warm sands of Elsweyr...

The shapes are similarly South/East Asian inspired, which is cool. But the colours are quite different.jainiadral wrote: »I find it's a lot like Khenarthi's Roost, but scaled up. If I had to guess which one was a capital and which one a backwater town, I wouldn't guess that the right is supposed to be the opulent and comfortable heart of the Khajiiti empire.
Come on you know what I meant. If I had to guess which one was a capital and which one a backwater town, I wouldn't guess that the right is supposed to be the opulent and comfortable heart of the Khajiiti empire.
There is no Khajiiti Empire, it's the Elsweyr Confederacy, and Rimmen isn't the heart of it. Torval's the defacto Capital of Elsweyr since it's where the Mane lives.
