Absolutely. Not more to say. Sub for the baggins or any other reason and give them card blanche for bad or no performance of due tasks. Unfortunately, digital subscription services still are kind of legal Neverland.

To people who say they can’t believe we give ZOS money and expect any different, I disagree.

The performance issues are real and serious, but overall eso is doing a LOT of things right, which is partly why we have the performance issues (servers are overloaded).

Not everyone suffers from bad performance, which can be a combination of complex technical issues. That being said, I too have notices a significant rise in game latency to the servers. Whether this is due to overload, incompetency, unfortunate necessity, or neglect, only ZOS knows (as they certainly aren't transparent about it).

Its a big problem when a company isn't upfront and honest about difficulties. It gives rise to all kinds of criticism of nefarious intent. Good or bad, give your paying customers the truth.

The lag on PS4 NA has gotten worse in the last 6 weeks or so and I hate to see what it will be like with the next patch.

Every load screen now gets the 'unusually long load time' message, and I mean every load screen. You arrive at a wayshrine in the middle of nowhere, with nobody around, and start moving with the screen at 1 or 2 frames per second. Rotations are useless because a skill may or may not actually happen. You use your ultimate only to see the boss die before the game has responded to your input.

The Crown Store was the final nail in the coffin for this game and while people are spending cash in there, creating new shiny objects that can be sold is a higher priority than performance affecting the people who have already paid.

And I doubt the server population is higher now than it has ever been, surely the game is not at it's peak popularity 5 years after release.

The only time I ever get a drop off in performance is when MM is indexing it's 200,000 records. That's why I set it to scan once an hour instead of every few minutes. Other than that it's 60 FPS most places dropping to about 40 in busy towns and latency is around 84. UK, fibre, hard-wired connection. Feel bad for you folks having these issues but why doesn't it affect everyone? There may be some software on your PC or addons or some hardware driver upgrade required, or it could be your ISP, your router needs restarting or just works on the network between you and the servers.

If there was a genuine server issue it would affect everyone, this clearly isn't the case, every evening up to about 10 of us are on Discord running trials and dungeons and apart from an occasional DC from the odd player we don't see any issues at all. Furthermore, in our guild of 300 people it is very rare anyone is talking about lag as an issue. If it were as widespread as this thread purports it would be discussed far more often and experienced by many more. I am not convinced this is a server issue at all at this time, and this thread is not representative of the vast majority of the population. Clearly those with issues are likely to post here (if they are forumites) and those without issues will most likely not post here.

I am sorry I can't say anything more helpful other than try disabling all your addons, restarting your router, go hard wired, check all GPU drivers are up to date, ensure you don't have Chrome or other browsers, but especially Chrome which is a massive memory hog, then check your ISP speed is correct with an online tester, also check your PC meets the minimum requirements.

My guess is that ZoS isn't saying anything because like many Devs they never read their own forums, this is the same in STO where I originally came from, I don't know if the moderators here are ZoS employees who report back or the usual power-hungry community volunteers as in the STO forum, in either case, they should be reporting these threads back to ZoS and the Devs should be replying or making statements about the situation from their point of view. Silence is never an answer. You may not like what they say, they may say exactly what I've said above but at least they would be saying something as people like to be acknowledged they exist.

i7 Skylake 4.0Ghz
32 GB DDR4 3000 Mhz Ram
Game is stored on an M2. drive

Last point, if you are running on a Laptop make sure it is not overheating, give the fans and vents a powerful blast with compressed air, they go into a performance restrictive mode when too hot.

Yea yea, your setup is nice, but 60fps have nothing to do with a broken grp finder. Same with the setup, you can run eso on a potato pc, lowest settings... as long as its playable and you have some sort of connection below 10k latency, it SHOULD work.



Its nice, that you don't have these sort of problems but that does not mean everything is working great ^^

That's my point, most people don't have these problems in our guild and we are international, from the US to Australia and just about every country in Europe, only the people who do have these problems are those posting here as they come running to the forums looking for others with whom to share their experience and hopefully get a resolution. My post was to balance the issue and hopefully give some useful advice on what may be causing it, not to show off my 3 year old PC. For certain group finder is broken, it has been since it was introduced, but that's not the main thrust of this thread is it.

Story of wednesday in Cyrodil:
Not so long ago, in a land not far away, two knights raised their swords to fight for glory.
They fighted bravely on first line, when bunch of Aldmeri soldiers came.
They had a very powerful mages on their side.
First of all, they blinded our knights for few seconds. Only blackness and then some painting with name "Cyrodil" was seen.
Next, even more strange things started to happen. Every skills our knights used, was delivered few seconds later. They tried to kill enemy soldiers, but it was very challenging due of time machinations Aldmeri Mages or even Gods themselfs do. Oaken-Heart, one of heroes of our story tried to heal his companion, but it was already too late. His friend died on walls of Chalman that day. He cursed Mighty ZOS Gods, and realm called "PC EU Megaserver" for all of this, becouse in another time, in another realm it could be a fair fight.

Naw they don't, Played pc & currently console, NA, in one of the best areas in the US for FO internet, & this game & swtor are the only online games I have had issues with outside of betas.

Internet, code, server, population, engine, updates...I really don't care about excuses anymore from these billion dollar companies.

Great game when it runs, & that is not often since 2014. This will be how ESO is remembered.

Maybe should skip the forums & start directly contacting the people that matter.
