Zos, the current game's performance needs your attention, not the other silly requests!!

Zos while your at these fun requests, fix the lag. Cx, the game is in a **** state. As a day one player on multiple platforms the game performance is just unacceptable. That is all.

Lag, freezes, not being able to bar swipe, and much more is killing the fun of this beautiful game.

Let the salt commence from the defenders of this broken piece of ****.
But the fact remains that the game's performance should be their top priority and nothing else.

If you have a sub, buy from crown store, purchased the new xpac it's acceptable. Can't continue to blame zos/beth after 5 years...it's the consumer fault at this point.

There really are a lot of problems with performance tanking since Elsweyr released. I didn't have the lag and ping on the PTS that I have now on live. I'll just be doing a random daily, farming in one of Elsweyr's public dungeons for runebox pieces, or heck, even just running around from one place or another, and my ping will spike over 1k. I wasn't getting such consistent ping and lag like this before the Chapter dropped; sure, I'd occasionally get the odd spike here or there, but nothing like I'm getting now.

It's worrying because Matt claimed that NA's server is starting to go the route of EU, and claimed they're trying to preemptively nip it in the bud before it can get any worse than it is. Considering how things are getting worse despite that claim, it's not very reassuring.

I almost only play on off hours. Usually the morning and game works great but occasionally I log on in the evening and the game is so laggy and unplayable on xbox na. Like a 20 second delay between hitting an ability and it actually happening.

Wonders how many people who experience lag, are playing on WiFi. If so, that's half the problem right there. Once I switched from WiFi to a hard wired LAN connection I stopped having most lag problems.

Note: When I'm playing on my laptop with WiFi, away from home, I do get problems with lag.

I play on a wired connection and I still have these issues. Like I said, it didn't start like this until Elsweyr, and it doesn't matter if I'm in that zone or another; the lag and ping spikes will hit me regardless of where I am.

Performance and bug fixes aren't their main priority.

Creating the new Chapters and DLC that attract new players, keep old players occupied, and keep the $$$ rolling in is their main priority. They pretty much said that in the pre-Elsweyr Q&A.

Yeah, I don't get it- you'd think that they would WANT any new players who are just getting started via Elsweyr to, you know, want to continue playing. The fact that they have yet to fix the random dungeon queue is mind-boggling, as is the fact that people are still not getting credit for killing that Zyudshauid or whatever dragon boss...

Obligatory post to remind folks that there are multiple teams who work on this game and quest writers, artists, UI designers, etc can't fix combat balance or server lag.

You really can't say "stop making Crown Store content and fix the lag" because it's entirely different people involved.

I have totally given up hope as well. I rarely log in these days, this coming from someone who played quite a few hours a day until very recently.

I have trouble believing they aren't at least "trying" to do something of sorts. One thing is for certain, if they don't do something urgent this game will obviously start to haemorrhage players if it is not improved pretty swiftly. That is if it has not already.

Another massive issue is the lack of communication, all that does is further propagate the sense that ZO$ does not care about it's players or is fundamentally arrogant or, even worse, imcompetent. I am sure this is probably not the case, but it smacks of it. All it would take is some decent communication and players would be FAR more understanding if they were kept even remotely in the loop.

But I agree, you would think making sure the experience is playable for all the new refugee players would be number one priority. The game has the potential to possibly be the number one MMO but it is going to fall flat on it's face during it's golden period if something urgent is not done.

Talk about taking your eye off the ball, the senior management in this company makes my mind boggle...

I suspected this, so I drilled holes in my wall in my new house to run cat6 cable to my desk.

Absolutely no effect on anything.

I wish that they would fix this healing, lightning staff, whatever it is bug. I would think it would be a priority. I can't use springs let alone half of my other ground based abilities since the patch. Add that to my fps issues I have had since a few patches ago. It's all just getting a bit frustrating.

@adriant The point is we dont need writers and artists.
What we want and need is this game to run better than it does atm. They(zos) clearly dont play their own game with any regularity or the performance would be more of a priority. If any of us did our jobs and put out a final product like this ....we'd be relieved of our duties .

Yes, yes, ground-cast abilities suck big time since Elsweyr, the fps are out of control, as well as ping, no matter if wired connection or not - it doesn't make a difference, unfortunately. It's server-related. Our ping is much better when less people are around, but given the upgrade - if it happened - it should have made it better, which none of us noticed. And last patch made things even worse lag- and fps-wise.

Agree.

Also, the community gripe shouldn't be aimed towards any of the teams, or anyone else involved with the ongoing development/content of the game.

The blame goes to the people above them at ZOS/Beth, & gamers...76 anyone? Why not? It has worked for EA, look at Anthem sales..even after their past record.

We are suppose to be getting performance improvement later this year.

For now we have to just wait and see if they deliver. Gotta give them time to work. Although, yes this should have been taken care of a year ago but zos has addressed it. Gotta wait and see, if they dont deliver then ya, we have issues.

I'm also hardwired but the past two weeks performance has been horrendous. And knowing Elsweyr will break the game even further doesn't make things any better.

So the in-combat bug we experience in Cyrodiil when not even in combat or the GF issue affecting both BGs and dungeons are silly requests?

While lag is a serious issue I would expect game breaking issues like I just mentioned are more significant. Lag becomes secondary when pressing F for an hour because queue keeps falsely telling you that someone declined or you cannot use a transitus in Cyrodiil because you have been in stuck in combat for 10 minutes even though there has not been any combat around you.

Color me salty with these silly requests.

I, for one, am tired of and frustrated with the random load screens in Cyrodiil lately on PS4 NA (namely Vivec, I haven't been in the others recently). Be it mid battle or while the keeps flip, it's so annoying to come back dead because all I can do is stand there and wait it out. I lose my seige weapons if I have any out when it happens, which means I'm also wasting my hard earned AP. I've also been getting them occasionally while riding out in the middle of nowhere with no one else around. It happens during both down and peak times, so pop lock doesn't seem to be the issue (I'm guessing). I really hope that it'll get better with faction lock and separate IC server coming on console, but I'm not holding my breath, either.

I see where you're coming from and I realize that these things are frustrating. However, if you check the dev tracker, you'll see that they recently addressed a current bug inside the Hunter's Glade home and that they'll be working on it. I don't think I need to say more than that
