Necro not really a good class

After leveling mine I can't think of anything the Necro can do that my sorcerer cant do better.

My favorite abilities for the class are the ultimate's. Nice visual and they do what there supposed to do. The skull thing is your spam ability and honestly you don't need to slot anything else just spam that one ability and your golden. I think some of the thought process was to have the neco do some major damage over time type of class.( I think it achieves this with boneyard and siphon (if there is a body in the area)). The problem is everything is dead in a few seconds, not 25 or 10 so most of the resources are wasted.

Blast bones should not even be slotted except to level up and then you remove it and replaces it with anything else, and this is the problem with the class. to make it work you will be using mostly skills from lines already available to every other class. The "pet" lasts a about 16 seconds and again you really don't need it, its essentially a moving DOT. i am just not liking the class hopefully they can redo some of the skills make it more of a pet class or maybe change the skull thing to something that does oblivion damage instead. .

It does seem to be able to tank well. I have soloed pretty much any WB i have come across and soloed my first party dungeon with a mix of abilities.

Maybe instead of focusing on all 3 areas they return to classes that do one thing good and not worry about having 3 lines that do every thing. It kind of has all the same issues as the warden its a hybrid no one really needs.

overland pve 100% but you could also just spam light attacks there as well and get the same affect, maybe get into some vet content before you make a judgement?

lol i can solo any world boss on all my toons, whether they are full healers or tanks. all my dps kill them without the need for any help, just like my healers and tanks, just faster. not really a point to brag about or even bring up.

this is fine. you dont have to like everything about the game, i hate pvp myself, you can still enjoy the rest of the game you do like. just play a class you like.

Honestly this chapter made me so sour. That I decided to uninstall ESO and cancel my subscription, until ZOS either offers a refund for the chapter, or fix the class. (The only reason I had for buying said chapter.) Until then I'll be on a break from ESO.

Ah so if someone is unhappy with something they should just say nothing? Even if they aren't playing, they have every right to express their feelings about something. And they are right, the Necromancer has a ton of things wrong with it, it's a buggy and broken mess right now.

there is saying they are unhappy with one part of the game, then there is tossing out the whole game becuae of that one thing. there is so much to the game, it is a bit myopic to "uninstall ESO and cancel my subscription" like that guy did.

When they first announced Necros earlier this year, I was like “wowowow so cool!”

Then they released it on PTS and I read through the skill lines and I was like “uhhh, weird flex, guess I’ll wait to see what one them famous streamers does with it.”

Now I’m like “glad I didn’t waste any time leveling one up.”

Yeah, I like the idea of the class, but the execution needs a little more polish. Though I'm only a lvl 29 Necro right now,

Things I'd suggest:

• Add 1m to Ravenous Goliath AoE
• Need to allow Recasting of Goliath to exit the Transformation early (mainly an issue only in Skyreach with missing Bitter Harvest Ultigen)
• Blastbones needs to either allow for more than one up at a time, or really make it dangerous.

i dont know why people are hating on Necromancer so much. im having a lot of fun with the class and i personaly find it easier to spellweave with Necro than i do sorcerer. Once i have it at level 50, i plan on gearing it up and parsing to see if it damages higher than my sorc

I was just going to post pretty much the same thing. I was really excited for a bunch of new skills to use and try, but because they are split between 3 classes, you don't really get much new. I very quickly switched back to weapon skills, and the same old same old to try to fill slots........

I especially agree with it being a reskinned kind of warden, with magic dps absolutely horrid......... and yes, no one needs a hybrid.

You don't have to relog. Just heavy attack with both of your weapons. You don't even need to target anything for that. It's fixed it every time for me. It's definitely a *** bug, though.

I was simply sharing my thoughts about the class. I think its derivative and unoriginal. It has a little bit of the other classes so it doesn't stand on its own. Much like the warden. I think the problem is they want those classes to have something for everyone and in so doing they have nothing anyone one doesn't already have with their current classes.

I agree what most of the people have been saying about this chapter. For one I didn't know there could be a chapter that was worse then summerset,but at least I got jewelry crafting and psijic order with that. Useful skills that I could use on whatever class or build I wanted so my buy was justified. This chapter I only pre ordered cause the necromancer sounded really cool but was executed as bad or worse then the warden was. I didn't care much for the rest of this chapter since it doesn't offer much but more gear. I wanted another cool class that failed horribly. Its full of bugs and has broken skills. I've been reading the forums and the majority of people are not satisfied with this class. Why should we when we already went through this with the warden and now necromancer too? I still love the game and will continue to play it. I like the devs and all,but I will think hard before ordering another chapter from them again after this.

All they had to do was make a class with a variety of minions to summon and spells centered on buffing those minions.

But nope. Had to flex their creative muscles to try and reinvent the wheel.

I am hopeful it will get a redesign eventually.

It won’t get a redesign—too late in the game for that. It will just get patched and cobbled together until it’s something like the magden, sadly.

I'm having a lot of fun with it. Sure my MagSorc is stronger (it actually is yeah) but my NB makes a far superior thief so what's your point really? Unless you're playing high end veteran content where every speck of DPS counts does it matter?

It's a reskinned warden in terms of pve with the same "features". Stam is very powerful in pve, mag is kinda meh. Both are clunky. But at least visuals are nice.

Tanking is hella fun now and seems good.
mag is just trash for anything. BB beeing the core emcanics is forcing to be in melee range for optimal parse and PvP BB is just crap if you try to cast it from afar.

Since I'm a magicka player I'll probably stick with my magsorc but if I ever go back to stamdps or tanking. I'll roll a necro.

Yeah necro tanking is really fun, and stam plays really well even with BB being bugged which i find hilarious. While mag just cries in a corner hoping to have a use.

I would say Necro is very versatile, has great utility in healing and survivability even as dps, and thus is decent in all roles.

The mechanics unique to the class however, can be interesting or fun, but in reality hinders the class. The potential for dps increase through corpse consumption is rarely realized in pve especially group content when everything dies too fast making the class as a dps always late to the party by design. Of course, skipping said mechanics and just using the skills that are more upfront with damage and the class loses its flavor.
