new servers on EU but the dungeon finder is bugged again every evening

how hard can it be to get this dungeon finder working . i thought it might actually work after the new servers were fitted but alas its still the same. every evening you try to que and just get someone declined for 20 mins in a group of 4. this has never worked right since the ready check was brought in and am getting people leaving guild and game because such a basic part of the game never works. although it seems to not have the same problem on the NA servers probably because the game makers actually play on those ones. Please fix this after over two years this is not funny any more and you feel like zos does not care about EU servers and players as it never gets fixed so please fix it

What do you mean "new"? They didn't replace them, just upgraded to some unknown extent.
And it has nothing to do with bugs, just extended players capacity.

    ^ This

Still not sure what player capacity means exactly.
I mean, I get more players can get into game without a queue. You'd think, logically, they'd look at expanding the number of instances to go along with increased capacity too, since more people in game are going to queue for more things, and we'd see less of the "someone declined group" BS. And this isn't just an EU or PC thing, but across all platforms and servers.

But, that would mean the right hand would need to know what the left hand is doing, and I'm guessing that just makes far too much sense for Zos.

Pretty sure they added more servers so they could run more shards or instances.

Finder has always had problems during high load and now lots of people run random dungeons on their necromancers.
    This create high load.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

The number of servers that power this game has no bearing on the GF working properly. The GF is a service unto itself and when we keep getting the message someone declined or that we cannot queue at this time it is because the service is getting overloaded.

All the servers in the world will not fix the GF issue. Zos needs to either separate the dungeon and BG GF into separate services or redesign it so it can handle the load.

well if dungeon finder is a seperate service please do something about it as every evening from 6pm gmt till after 11pm gmt you cannot get into a dungeon on the EU server is a very broke game. ZOS you cannot seriously expect people to keep playing this game if it will not work when most people on the EU server is playing

I don't recall ever seeing mention of new servers, other than Matt saying that they were planning on doing it I think. All that was said was the servers were being upgraded, something to do with data migration or something. That doesn't necessarily mean moving to more servers, though. It would be nice if we'd gotten an actual detailed breakdown of what that upgrade was and what the idea behind it was.

Either way, OP it's not just EU having issues with the GF. It's been a big problem in NA too, especially after the last Undaunted event. I can't remember ever having the 'someone declined' bug before that event (not saying much, though, my memory is awful). Now though? It tends to happen at least once a day when I use it, regardless of time. So despite your assumption, we're not having it any better than you are.

Adding new servers will not help the GF.

The GF for dungeons and BGs is messed up during prime time because it is overloaded with all the request it gets. Zos knows this yet either is challenged to fix it due to the lack of technical knowledge on what to do or has chosen to not make it a priority to fix it.

Until either is resolved the service will remain overloaded no matter how many servers Zos tosses at the game. It would seem the simple fix would be to have two different services handle forming the groups. One for dungeons and one for BGs but even then Zos would need to figure out how to separate them on the db side.

This actually does nothing to address the actual issue of the LFG tool being borked. One of the main problems is getting the 'someone declined' error even after the 'forming group' status has popped up; everyone has to accept their role and stuff before it gets to the 'forming group' stage. No one can decline after that point because they already all had to accept. This happens regularly even with pre-made groups using the LFG tool for random dailies.

It’s not just an EU issue. GF has broken down during prime time for the last several nights on PC NA.

Some changes appear to have been made, like gating the number of people who can queue at a time. But things don’t seem to have gotten better as a result. Still the endless “someone declined” issue.

And last night, just before prime time We managed to queue successfully. And then we had a new issue where halfway through our normal random dungeon, we were all booted out of the instance. Lost time and effort.

It does. The current system should be 86, not updated or fixed.

i had been told it was much better on the NA server but seems its starting there too. this system has been broke ever since they brought in the ready check a few years ago. since then at best you may get to press accept a few times and get in to a dungeon. but that only ever lasts a week or two at best. every event using the dungeon finder its like it is now someone has declined. it should give you 45 seconds to accept the ready check but it fails to someone declined after about 5 seconds so the system doesnt even let you accept if your not quick enough. this has never been fixed and worked for any length of time in the last two years at least. by now you would have thought they could fix it or re do the system to something that actually works. i mean you could maybe put up with it for a while if you knew ZOS at least admitted a problem and gave some idea how long it might take or that they were re writing the dungeon finder system. not sure if its more load on it now but i never remember there ever being problems like this before the ready check was introduced. i would rather have a few groups with an odd person be afk but can get in to dungeons than never getting in during weekday evenings
