Imperials vs Nords

Lookwise, which one is better? i really want to make a stamDK and i was holding back till i make it look good but couldnt decide on races. Human races.

im between nords vs imperials. i used to like nords but since they shown as dumb cave man and i dont have imperial edition yet, im stuck.

Everyone said imperial males looks the best so im looking for some pics

Edit: Yeah ult regen and resistance vs reduction and sustain. i know. but im looking for the best look.

Help me out.

yeah i like that ult gen. but imps also have %3 reduction literally on everything™.

I went Imperial DK, my best “looking” male character. Nord feels goofy for some reason, not sure what it is.

lol, yeah i prefer imperials as they are also very versatile from DPS to tanks and pve to pvp.

But for pure looks wise they are the better as well.

In my opinion when it comes to pure looks, Imperials and Redguards win when it comes to males of the man races.

Nords have a tendency to have a derpy/vacant look. Same goes with Bretons, with the addition of looking babyfaced in most settings.

As for pics. I noticed I'm a bit lacking in my screenshots of my imperials. Only found 2, that is of my sorc and they aren't the best of pictures, but will have to do! The close-up is when I tried on the swashbuckler facial hair for fun.

Pick a Nord, muscular body type and put all sliders all the way up and you will be the most imposing fella in all of Tamriel

For the females - I think Imperial beats the Nords = purely for looks.

The Nords seem to have a plastic doll type face which is not very appealing

its certainly easier to make a good looking imperial in terms of classical beauty than a nord...nords look more like rugged vikings...if you like that look - which i do you'll like nords... imperials tend to look more like southern european, especially italian

so brutish ruggedness = nord

classical beauty with a certain sharpness = imperial

Nord males can grow beards at age 11 and can bench press 500 pound tree logs. That should be all you need to know for making your decision.

Nords = Funny guy/girl that drinks too much mead and isn't afraid to wear a silly bathing suit even temperatures get below zero
Imperials=Are proud, good looking and care too much about their health. Don't know why cause they have lots of it. I had an imperial female tank and she was stunningly beautiful without looking like a barbie doll. Imperials are easy make look good. I imagine the males are handsome.

I race changed one of my Imperial males to Nord with one of the three race change tokens that we got with the racial passive rebalance. I played the character for around 1-2 weeks, and then I changed it back to Imperial again. For this specific character, the Nord had better racials, and I ended up giving those up because I couldn't stand the way most Nord males look.

That depends entirely on the eye of the beholder...

Seriously though, Nords are for the ones who like "Viking" looks (and all derived celtic to germanic looking archetypes), and Imperials for those who like "Legionaire" looks (and all derived south-european and mediterranean looking archetypes).
So the "better" depends entirely on your personal preference.

While others are not.
Up to you which kind you want to make your characters into!

I mean, you can always go for a different archetype then the "bearded, drunk, dumb viking raider"... from german courtier to russian wrestler, from celtic warrior to scottish laird, there is a lot that can be done with nords, right?

I have another one, but he wasn't designed to be soft on the eyes and I currently have no screenshot featuring him.
It is possible to make handsome Nord males, definitely, but I deleted the only one I had because I needed the slot. And I'm just not into Nords because of, you know, reasons. Being smelly drunks and so on .

It depends on what you are going for. I made a Nord tank that looks like Thor, and he actually turned out pretty sexy. The trick with nords is to tone down the massive he-man jaw. I also made an imperial tank with dreadlocks, and he looks pretty badass. Try different things out in char gen on both races before committing to see which you like better. I'll post pics when I'm not working.

IMHO, Imperials make much better stamplars than DKS visually, because you want a DK to be a brick wall, or a poisonous snapping dragon. And Nords are much more fierce and look better with beards and heavy armor than wimpy Imperials. Short milk drinkin' pansies Thoooough I might be biased a smidge. I've mained a female Nord DK since Beta.

I don't that "Everyone" person, but they should be burnt at the stake. Twice, it's the only way to be sure.

My necromancer is an imperial female for ONE reason : I wanted an imperial necromancer and imperial males look like they fell from the ugly tree and hit all the branches on the way down. The only thing uglier is a stage 4 vampire. I'd rather not imagine a stage 4 imperial male vampire. That, or I just never managed to tweak them properly, since some pics posted here are actually pretty nice.

Imperial females look good, especially if you're looking for a thin, small chested character. Even at max setting, chest is rather small on imperials. Nords, on the other hand, have that "valkyrie"feel : they can look tough and somewhat buxom, but will never be wiry without looking ill. Male nords are ok, you can get some funny looks on them too if you care about that.
