Im in two of the affected guilds and ingame im pissed about it, in a role playing sort of way, but really irl, im not angry. That's hwo the game works, someone with amazing wealth can pull something like this of. Yuo also kinda have to applaud the creativity involved with the guild names, and items being sold in each of the traders forming a word form their first letters. Even though this hurts my income and makes things more difficult, I find the variety refreshing and interesting. It's something that will go down in the anals of ESO, part of our shared history. 15 years from now I'll think back on this with watery sentimental eyes "that time in Rawlkha... I was there, I remember".

who started this what? (what did they start?). And why would you not be mad at that person? he/she/they are respondible for pushing out those guilds making them take other traders.

Someone bought all the traders and is only putting stuff up for sale for insane prices, like 1 ruby for 14K gold, dumb *** like that. It's someone with way too much time and gold on their hands and got the ass about trading guilds. So he basically decided to take the guild traders and not even USE them really, as I don't call posting insanely overpriced items as really using it, it's just a useless troll that should get banned for it.

None of the above biased poll is biased. But what i DO find funny is that anyone thinks this is an actual "wake up call" and that anything at all will come from it. Its not the first time something like this has happened. You know what happens? The traders find somewhere else to trade for the week and still make money and the guy that pulled this thing thinking he was makin a statement just lost a *** ton of gold. Whooptie freakin doo. Guess what, guy who thought he was super cool for doing this, Zos does not care and those guilds will be back next week.

Its an act of stupidity a waste of time and gold, that has wasted the time of 5 trade guilds worth of players could be as many as 2500 players affected by one persons stunt.

I like to shop there from time to time, if people have a problem with the prices no one is forcing you to buy from them or any trader, just go browse one of the other 200 or so guild stores in the game.

It's not even good enough to be amusing, it's pitiful and pretty boring. They wasted tons of gold to try to set these traders back a week, but these guilds are still making money easily lol. Some of the guilds have now grabbed available traders for a big cost reduction, and with the use of TTC this becomes even less of an issue for location. Whoever did this missed that major oversight.

A few of them were able to get spots in Elsweyr. You know, where smaller guilds could have been.

Easy come, easy go. I don't believe anyone earned all of that gold legitimately just to throw it away for a joke.

Everyone assumes harvesting bots are asian gold sellers, but that's not true. The player who would have no qualms about abusing glitches or memory hacking would also have no problem buying burner accounts inexpensively to run harvesting bots on a second computer/vpn.

People seem to think that 'Rawl'kha prices' are always inflated, 'that's why I don't shop there', etc etc. The prices look high because the high traffic mean good deals go very quickly. I'm in one of the affected guilds and I'm still selling well in our secondary trading guild this week, I'm listing stuff at about the same price as in Rawl'kha last week (very reasonable prices, often below MM average) and they sell quickly. Sure, if it goes a little too quickly I mark up the next batch slightly, but you won't find me listing fortified nirncrux for 4000 gold.

I don't research people from outside the guild who buy my stuff but I usually get bigger whales buying my materials.

For the record, I'm not unhappy. My stockpiling and my super secret grand master plan to make big money this week is somewhat out of the window but honestly, it would have been boring. This week is going to be and has been a learning opportunity. I'm getting a feel of the market in Rimmen and how prices are changing in other locations with Rawl'kha out of the picture temporarily.

It is none of those things. There is no "monopoly" or "cartel" - just five high volume trading guilds that sell stuff that people are actually looking for. All the jerkface who pulled this crap managed to accomplish was to effectively take five guild traders in one of the highest volume locations offline for a week, and end up denying five smaller guilds a chance at a trader for this week, and force guild leaders and officers to be constantly checking to see if the servers were back online to make sure that their guilds had a trader at all for this week.

Of course not.

There is a reason why "little guys" can't afford those traders. They cost 15+ million gold a week.
