I'm a former EVE Online player, this kind of stuff doesn't phase me any more.

TBH I find it interesting and exciting, PvP outside the normal means of combat in a zone creates interesting dynamics and stories in games, ESO could do with more sandbox elements which encourage this kind of thing (IMO)

Although the whole bidding system is still pretty horrible for guild masters to deal with. I love the traders/zone system, but I would much rather have a system which cause the stress and issues we currently have.

I think the guy who bought the vendors is an idiot. But whatever.

I've been in one of those guilds and they work hard to maintain their spot. They also accept anyone in willing to make the weekly requirements. They are very flexible about how you make your weekly. Even purchases contribute to your weekly.

While I have been kicked twice in the past for not making the minimum over a month, they are not villains. They are a meritocracy. Sure, they are a bit rigid about weekly contributions/sales, but that is needed to maintain the spot. Guild leaders are working hard to keep guilds like that viable as elite trade guilds.

Personaly I think it is weird that he or they haven't made any publicity about it actualy. After spending so much gold. If he had to blow over 100M like many seems to say I tought he would had made videos or post about it.

There are so many ways they could have accumulated enough gold for a single week. Guild's actually have to get the gold while also maintaining the trust of member to stay there weekly. A troll can just scam people for a short period to accumulate a mount of gold and then do what they want with it. Or buy gold. Or whatever.

I really could not care less about something so pointless. I've never used a guild trader because I never cared for it. People getting worked up over losing a specific trader post is beyond petty. This week will expose the snowflakes in the community that cling needlessly to inconsequential crap like guild traders in a video game. I tip my virtual hat off to the winners who clearly orchestrated this plan over several weeks to secure their spot. Well Done.

I feel sorry for the guildmembers affected, but it is kind of amusing, too.

I recently predicted this kind of thing could happen across the entire game, if a few older players, with deep pockets, got involved.

The fact it has only happened in one town, so far, obviously means it is a lot less game-breaking than it could, potentially, be.
