Guessing Game: How much will the Skyshards cost?

I would only use it to get a new character off and running, not to completely copy my main that is only a handful short of all of them. I would only buy a lot if relatively cheap, otherwise it might be a single zone’s worth.

500 for starter zones with 3 shards (Bleakrock/Bal Foyen)
1000 for the zones with 6 shards (Murkmire/CWC/ETC)
2500 for the zones with 16 (Stonefalls/Auridon/Cyrodiil EP/ETC) (get 1 free!)

300c for small islands with 3 shards, 500c for bigger ones with 6, 1000c for bigger areas with - lets say - 16+ shards.

Cyrodiil would then be about 2500c, or 3x 1000 +300 for the mountain.

Adding some adaptations for odd provinces here and there and I end up at 27,600-28,400 crowns for the single provinces, in total. I would not be surprised if all shards would cost per char as a whole enchilada about 20,000 crowns, if available to the respective account.

ZoS has already decided how much each pack will cost. We are merely speculating the total cost for all of those packs based on past observations of other convenience items, cynicism, or wishful thinking.

I have no idea what the total cost would or should be. It will probably be 1k Crowns per zone, which would be ten times what it should be.

Yes, this is said about many things that people want to have for ease of creating new characters. Max skill lines, level 50 starting characters, lorebooks, etc... But apparently they don't mean it. They don't really want to pay for these conveniences. They would like ZoS to implement them so they can be "less bored".

Mundus stones cost 4000 crowns each, for it to really be a timesaver you need to have at least two or three, that's 8000-12000 crowns.
As another example, if you want to fully upgrade your mount via the crown store, you will need to pay 18k crowns, I can't imagine the skyshards being cheaper than that.

What do you think how much Skyshards will cost if you buy ALL OF THEM? And what would you think would be a fair price?

There should be a thread about how much are you willing to pay for skyshards instead of how much do you think they're gonna cost...

Yeah maybe, but only after the hordes of roleplayers walked in with their picket signs mindlessly chanting "unfair", "advantage", "I like earning mine, you should too" and other nonsense in regards to "account wide" or the toggle that was mentioned SO many times.

I think people are forgetting that a 16 shard zone is only 5 skill points.
2,500 crowns is ~£12.50 - 5 skill points for £12.50? That's extortionate.

However it ends up now, they've milked the community dry - Code wise, this would be so easy that I bet it took a single dev no more than a couple days to put together and a couple hours to fully test.

ZOS/Beth the new EA in town?...funny thing for me is, the more ways they find to gouge their supportive players the tighter my wallet becomes.

My expectations for Character/account skyshard unlocks was to promote alt play, & in-turn player invests more into the game overtime with new class driven xpacs, alts, sub, etc...if alt play means no-lifer do the same content X amount of times or spend $100 to play catch-up, well pass, continue play my main & not waste money on xpacs like the necro.

Yes, you already know these pack costs will sit either side of a Crowns pack size as well right? Just like EA.

E.G. A SS pack could cost 1250 crowns because you can only buy 750 or 1500 crowns, forcing you into buying the 1500, or higher - It's a scummy tactic they all use these days.

Your expectations were the same as nearly every advocate's but we'll see.

Actually, there have been numerous posts from players willing to buy skyshards for Crowns. I recall at least one suggestion by zone so the player could buy only the zones he/she did not have. Sorry, I'm not going to dig through 5-6 enormous threads hunting those posts down, because I essentially agree with you.

My point is that more than a few players offered to buy skyshards, if that would prompt ZoS to offer an option to shortcut walking around to pick them up for free. Whether those players truly meant it or were out of their minds is moot. The offers were posted, ZoS was persuaded, and now you can buy skyshards for Crowns.

In my opinion, the whole thing is idiotic.

If they are smart they should make them affordable. Because otherwise people like me won’t bother and will just keep playing 1 character and will take our money elsewhere.

Also the amount I selected is what I assume they will be, what I would prefer is 15$ for all 3 alliances.

They'll probably charge 5,000 Crowns per zone. We can all do the math on that.

Just spend 3,000 Crowns on speed riding lessons and grab them yourself in one weekend.

Given the absolutely ridiculous cost for things like outfit slots, I don't see this being priced in a remotely reasonable fashion to outweigh the minimal time it takes to actually run around and grab the skyshards yourself.
