If you run a horde of pets weather it be a zoo keeper pet magsorc or a tank that blocks until you get your werewolf that you use a portable squad of line of sight blockers you can't really think that it is skill that has allowed you beat someone. All pets really should be like the warden netch and the nightblade shade in order to stop the incessant pet builds that are prevalent all over the game at the moment, especially in bgs and duels. The cheese in the game seems to continue to get worse and the skill gap seems to continue to close because pvp and pve are inappropriately balanced and balanced separately.

No need to be passive agressive about how other people enjoy the game.

No one cares why anyone beats anyone else. If honor was a big deal, there would be no nerfs because no one would complain about someone else being more powerful. It's a game and people are playing it to win. The only problem is cheating, so if someone's not cheating, they're just fine.

Truly i struggled with VMA forever. Finally got a petsorc passed it which was still really hard for me. And you know what everyone said? Oh, its easy mode who cares?

That made me walk away from it for a long time. Cause you know i dont hate on others playstyle, and it really cut me when they took what i considered to be a hell of an accomplishment away.

The worst of it? After this post how many more will do the same. FYI i main a templar and a nightblade too, just for more fuel :)

@ZOS_BrianWheeler , you guys listening? Yet another thread about the very valid frustration people feel when encountering premade pet stackers in PVP environments that were designed with small scale — not zerging — in mind. One premade group of pet sorcs can hide behind anywhere from 8-16 pets at a time. At its worst, a premade pet stacking team will have twenty targetable entities on the screen at one time (16 pets plus 4 players). That’s 16 ways to gain 100% free mitigation from single target attacks, and 16 ways to severely diminish the impact of AOE attacks. It needs to be addressed.

I can't really agree with this. Pet sorcs should absolutely feel bad. I played a pet sorc for a night, went like 54-2 in a BG, and felt so dirty that I took a 30 minute shower when I was done. Never again.

AOE's don't have a target cap... Enemy count isn't going to diminish their impact. If anything, having that many pets and players in one spot increases the effectiveness of Inevitable detonation or proxy det.

Plus, One thing I like to do to a pet sorc is target their pet with a meteor. Pet can't block it and prevent the stun to the players nearby.

Certain AOE skills, and some single target skills with secondary AOE effects (I’m not referring exclusively to ground AOEs and those particular player-based AOEs, that yes, have no cap — I should have specified) can only affect a set number of targets, or will affect the “nearest” target in the area (which could be a pet). Examples:

    Reflective Light
    Flames of Oblivion
    Mass Hysteria
    Deep Slash
    Force Pulse

(I could be missing some, these are just a few that come to mind).

Pets can also trigger ground traps, rendering those traps a waste of resources.

Considering that I got tbagged by a 3 pet sorc LoSing behind the pets while throwing frags from 20m away against my stam sorc I would say... yes. They are REALLY good. In all seriousness though you can’t even target your enemy when this is happening. Maybe Master’s cleave after the buff will do something next patch when I’m getting 4500 bonus damage on my swings.

i guess constant nerfs caused this problem. there was no need in los because shields strength was enough for surviving. pets were used in duel builds mostly as i know

Traps would hardly be waste of resources if you consider the following.

5 Daedric mines will keep a scamp rooted for 1.5 second each and heal the caster 5% per mine

Trap Beast can root the scamp 6 seconds per trap and give minor force for the duration

Petsorcs are weak. They’re only good against pure single target builds, so they shouldn’t be an issue for anyone except Stamblades.

A lone pet sorc can be dealt with. Stacked premade pet sorc groups against solo queued random groups? Different story. If pet sorcs weren’t effective in the right group’s hands, they wouldn’t be so ubiquitous right now.

I play pets because I have since launch and they're more fun to me than joining the horde of poison spammers I always run into in BGs.

I don't even have to LoS - most of the time, nobody pays attention to anyone except the one tanky guy they're determined to take down. Pet sorcs are pretty squishy if you wear down the shields or come up behind us.
