@ZOS_GinaBruno This first pic is just snipe with human reaction and lag I will concede that 1.09 means the snipe change is working as intended q2ibf0ync7hj.png

But then when only weaving in LA the numbers get funky and go back to what is on live now. For the trolls who will show up a .7 LA ratio with a 1 second cast time skill is actually really good. 1.4 secs inbetween when weaving is what is on live right now once again conceding that with human reaction and lag time the extra .1 sec. Both test were right around 100 fps/90 latency 4kn8fkshhco7.png

And I went as simple as I could with gear and skills were only bow, armor and race for sustain. p73gcnmlvxtf.png



There is something wrong with snipe and how the timing goes as soon as doing anything other than just straight spamming snipe please get it looked into. @ZOS_GinaBruno

    @Muzzick Snipe got a 25% damage nerf to "make up for being quicker" ok fine if you just spam snipe and do nothing else it appears to be working as shown in the first pic, but as soon as you try to weave it it reverts to the same speed as on live now as shown in the second pic but still with 25% less damage. Therefor it was just a 25% damage reduction for no change when trying to use it in a rotation.

    Because Light Attack is not supposed to be affected by the global, so where is the extra .3 seconds coming from? Means it is NOT actually working as intended unless you only just stand there using snipe and nothing else.

    Well in that case I completely agree with you!!
    Also even if you just spam snipe without light attacks they still over nerfed it just doing the math. They should at least bump it to 20% with a cost reduction of the same percentage as the nerf

    Stamina started to play ranged in PvE and they decided to kill it. They’ve changed casting times that no one was asking for and nerfed dmg that some of us were asking for bcs of PvP.
    This playstyle was made significally worse, and if you consider that they’ve also nerfed Spider Silk it’s hard to believe it wasnt on purpose. (Change that it scales also with SD made ranged magdps topdog again).
    Bow/Bow is now only “competitive” on classes with their own stam ranged spammables - necro&warden. Sad.

    i play archer and so do many in eso, snipe is part of archery.
    its horrible that we have a dedicated Group of people on this forum, that daily make threads asking for archer skills and bow and snipe to be removed from eso.

    It's sadly another issue with pve/pvp balancing. Snipe in my opinion is so unbalanced in a pvp enviroment.

    I can understand why they decided to nerf it for PvE and this likely would´ve happened even if everyone in PvP was happy with snipe.
    Ranged stam being stronger than ranged mag gives any mag dps no place in trials anymore if you optimize your group since melee stamdps already outperformed anything magicka could do regardless of melee magicka (magdk dps hehe xD or mag templar using sweeps lul) or ranged magicka. Well you might bring a magsorc for conduit but you might aswell use it on a stam sorc and have more dps than said magsorc or bring a sorc healer for that.
    And if your group doesnt care what you run as long as it can do viable dps then you can still bring your bow bow build.

    Current problem with snipe wasnt about high dps.

    It was about damage per hit. Even in no-Cp cyrodiil, you could get killed by 2 shots with 19,2k armor and 23k health (my stats).

    Instead now on pts damage per hit is lower but overall dps is same which is right. 3 shots is enought to react ( CC break + dodgeroll) -because you can get hit by 2 snipes before you manage to CC break, but that last snipe can be missed/dodged/blocked ( based on whatever ur using)

    What they did was right choice.

    [snip] How much Pen do you have (Maybe none I can't tell but I'll assume none). What class are you? And get the Warrior mundus. From what I see here Snipe might be able to take a 4% damage increase give or take but I'm not even confident is saying that.

    No dps is over 3k less this way. No with the exception of the spider synergy (which they have given to Mag and cut in half) it wasn't doing more than Mag dps. No there is no mundus stone at all. Wow reading comprehension has gone down in this world badly. This post is about the supposed speed increase and damage decrease. If you actually take time to read what I posted in the first place the speed increase is only there if you just spam snipe no weaving. Once you try to weave in even just LA (which isn't supposed to be affected by any globals) the old cool down comes back. The math is there plain as day by itself the ability is 1 second, as soon as you try to weave (required for all dps) it goes back to 1.3 seconds just like it is on live. Therefor it is not working it is just a flat 25% damage loss on the only "spammable" bow skill. This is about pve not pvp some of us were using bows long before the spider synergy, and got a bone finally with T's Warband set. With this change alone they have killed bows for pve for all except Wardens (and it is a dps loss for them as well) and maybe Necros. This is not about balance, this is not about pvp, this is about their reasoning for the damage loss is it works quicker but it doesn't. This post is simply about a broken skill that is NOT working like they say it should. I don't care if you don't like snipe, I don't care if you do, the numbers I showed simply prove it is broken.
