I cannot play FPS games because I get motion sickness so here I am in ESO.

I recently bought the psijic wolf and immediately had to stop using it as I started to get the motion sickness feeling. Had same problem with the Jester personality. It seems that as long as my character remains fairly steady in the centre of the screen I'm fine. I was thinking of getting the Drunk personality coming up but not so sure now (how unsteady is it?) which has me wondering what other items should I be avoiding.

Are there items that have caused other players motion sickness?

The guar mount gives me motion sickness. The smoothest and most steady (camera-wise) mount I've found is the senche.

Also try going into the options for field of view. You can unzoom them out so you get a more view. Also helped me.

This helped Ty :) I went from 110 to 130 (max). Head bobbing did reduce (makes sense really) but I am surprised by how much without feeling like I am looking from the moon. Still not perfect with just a whiff of motion sickness feeling if I look at the wolf too long so I look at the surroundings and Im good. That's when I realised that in game play I am hardly looking at the mount anyway, rather I am looking at the surroundings for obstacles & dangers. When I first got it I was staring at it in detail and hence issues. I am much happier as I really wanted a wolf for one character.

Ty to everyone who contributed to this thread.

    Do bunny hopping sorcs count?

Yes. Actually Streak gives me the worst pain when people do it next to me in town. The rapid zoom in actually hurts.

Not that I have noticed and I get simsick off almost anything. No camera shake tyvm. 3rd person view ftw. Horse mounts are the only mounts for me. Sometimes if I switch crafting stations too quickly or inventory to normal, I feel sick. Bleh spinning. Opening crafting daily rewards is HORRIBLE.

Not motion sickness but I had to turn screen shake down to around 75% because maxed out it gave me headaches.

    DON'T GET A BEAR MOUNT!!!!!!!!!

You'll end up running on its back. Imagine your feet are the tip of an upside down cone and your head is one point moving along the rim of it. That's what it feels like

Not sure if same as motion sickness but i have it too with:
    - bear mount
    - some of the skill effects.
    - attronach mounts roar thinghy (i love those mounts but cant use them)
    - some of the crowded mob fights
    - Scrolling through inventory to quickly.

    And probably many more.
Ofc most can and are easy avoidable by just stop rushing bit or not use things that trigger it but sometimes it catches me by surprise and when feel nausee its not easy get rid of it.

Happy too see im not only one having this

    Bear mounts.

The bears are super-cute and they look nice in your homes, but they have a rolling gait that makes me feel seasick.

...or, I assume it's seasick, as I have never felt seasick IRL, even though I have been on boats.

The trick is to blur your eyes in that micro second instead of blinking. That helps.

I am currently in Gnisis Egg Mine in Vvardenfell and the visual part of the "song" is making me feel sick.

So as soon as that feeling comes I blur my eyes?

I don't know of any items that directly cause motion sickness or vertigo, but I do get it a lot from the lag spikes and wonky camera. I can't spend much time in zones like Shadowfen and Murkmire because the motion lag just makes me sick eventually. I also disable all effects like head bobbing, screen shake, motion blur, distortion, etc.

But if you have sensitive hearing then there is a non-combat pet, the Ancestor Moth (don't know exact name), that unless they fixed it has a really high-pitched screeching sound, kind of like the sound of machining metal with no lubricant. I had to stop using this pet because it would eventually give me a headache just from the sound of it.

I use the moth swarm on a couple of characters - haven't ever noticed that (not even since I got an upgraded much better headset). Are you sure it's the moths and not some other pet around you?

    ...

I'm absolutely 1000% certain it's the Moth's sound effect. If you turn off the game music then it's even more noticeable. And I just checked in-game and the sound effect has not changed since this recording. Here is a video of it that I recorded to post in another discussion:
Like nails down a chalk board...

Huh. I always have the music going so never have heard that. Interesting.

If you have motion sickness issues, do NOT get the drunk personality. I almost never have motion sickness issues in games, but drunk personality starts to make *me* feel drunk after a while. I ended up putting it on a quickslot to toggle it on/off.
