Incap solution

Why would you increase the prevalence of a debuff that is already imbalanced and biased against mag? NPC's drop negates like candy and Sorcs have them too, so mag is already disadvantaged by Silences everywhere in PvP. Stam players have no comparable disability to balance this out.

Solution: instead of Silence, you could create a new status effect, "Incapacitated", which allows the player to move, block, dodge, etc... but the player cannot cast any STAMINA abilities. This makes 1000x more sense because stam toons are already immune to the negates that plague mag toons, and if they get "Incapacitated" they can still purge, whereas mag types can't purge at all if Silenced.

The easy fix is just to change the Silence so that it affects the caster instead of the target.

This is to funny. You know all the stam characters are going to freak out more than they did about race against time getting 4 seconds of snare immunity.

Solution: revert all changes, remove stun, keep defile. Problem solved

From a balance standpoint, Silence on Incap was overkill. They could've just taken off Minor Mangle, left the stun at 120 Ultimate and added Reave and the skilll would've been fine overall. Defile + Ultimate Regen on Soul Harvest, Stun + Resource Regen on Incap.

However, since I never felt that the Defile+Stun on Incap was a problem to begin with (Stun is honestly a non-issue since NBs would CC you prior to Incap to guarantee a hit anyway since dodging it was pretty common without a hard CC beforehand), I felt it was unnecessary to change at all and now that it has changed to an actual state of being OP, I can't help but laugh. The complaints got the skill BUFFED instead of nerfed and its just poetic irony that this happened. Defile is easily replicated with Reverb so Stamblade can still Defile you 100% of the time on top of making Magic useless to counter it AND having better resource sustain overall.

Keep crying people, it's worked so well for you so far.

What I am trying to understand is... why they even changed the Incap in a first place ? Just for the sake of changing it ?

    Or better question:
How do you make a single target hard hitting ultimate, that by its nature is overloaded, not to be overloaded, but still keep its overloaded nature ? ? ? O.o

Must be a hard task since they have come up with this silence thing... :o

You remove either the stun component or the defile from the current live version. Pick one. And you remove the conditional cost and split the difference to 95 ult cost. Removing the stun would probably be the best option, since there are other stuns available, and the defile would still make the skill unique.

Probably because forumblades spent the last 3 weeks crying about the nerfs, just like how the sorc tears got the shield cast time removed?

No Stam silence, no mag silence.

Major / Minor Mute and Disarm.

    Mute disables all magicka skills.
    Disarm all stamina skills.

Personally I'd like these debuffs to instead of 100% disable to reduce Spell and Weapon damage some percentage, if not to outright zero. This way your damage, healing and shielding, across the board and for all builds and classes takes a big hit, but the resource pools remain intact for dodge rolling, running, break frees and blocking.

It is still heavily biased towards Stam+Med/Heavy but is fairer then the current Silence.
