I would sub to ESO till the death of the game if this game had long raids and raid bosses. I would also be willing to pay 20 a month instead of 15. The lack of this feature is the only reason I discontinued my sub as quick as it began.

IMO multi-hour raids would be an absolute nightmare in this game.

This isn't slow, cooldown-based combat like WoW. During an ESO raid you are performing actions nonstop for the duration. My fingers would fall off if I had to do that for 2+ hours straight.

Honestly I wish esos combat was slower. It’s super immersion breaking and too Arcadian like for my taste. I would like to too see stronger and more intersting abilities being used more spaced then spamming a big mash of stuff together :/

Not everyone can keep up with it, but that's what helps create the skill ceiling. Those who can keep up with the combat no problem will rise to the top.

Could you imagine organizing a 24 person trial in ESO?

A lot of instances start to deteriorate after about 30 min e.g when progressing hm rakkhat we could only do a couple pulls before we'd have to reset the raid and start again because the lag and number of DC's would increase. And thats content thats like what? 3-4 years old? This game cant handle bigger and longer raids, at least not on console.

I'm glad WoW players are coming over to ESO but could you maybe like stop expecting this to be WoW 2.0? It's not.
AD is the best looking faction. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.

WoW taught me to hate raids. I know they've changed the mechanics, but getting 40 people to go do the same thing over and over again to play the gear lottery really sucked. I remember when there was not even a loot prevention mechanic. That was the worst.

I mean 24 or even 16 person raids would be great. But longer? No thanks.

It would be a nightmare. I doubt anyone who organizes serious vet raids thinks larger than 12 would be great.

I’m GM for a reasonably large (~340 members) casual guild on PC EU. We have members of all skill levels.

Our progression group manages to get together for 2 hours a week, and even then we have to pull in reserves almost every week. That is enough that we eventually managed to clear vCR(+0), and we recently got a speedrun in vMoL. However, we haven’t even tried to work on vHoF - the trial is a bit too long for our 2h window.

Of the ~340 members we have, less than 60 are vet trial capable, and less than 30 can do vMoL/vCR.

As is, vet trials are already catering to a relatively small, though important, part of the playerbase. I suspect that longer trials will cater to an even smaller part of the playerbase.

24 man trials may be fun, and I think I’ll be able to get together a group for it, if it is fairly easy and simple. For a casual progression setting, though, it will be a logistical nightmare.

Not elite, not the best. Just enjoying ESO.
Not the worst either. "Casual" != "totally ignorant"

LOL, no. That just does not make sense.

BTW, vMA takes more than 24 hours for most to complete it their first time. So there you have it.
