Maelstrom Titles

The Stormproof title is a bit vague. Possibly change it to obviously be a vMA title? People might feel good about displaying it then.

Could possibly do the same with No Death, though I think we all recognize the Flawless Conq title, so that's probably fine as is.

How about...

Normal: Maelstrom Arena Champion

Vet: Maelstrom Arena Veteran / Maelstrom Arena Vanquisher / Maelstrom Arena Hero

No Death: The Flawless Conqueror

Yeah nah?...

The titles are fine and those well versed in vMA know what they mean. Just like any title, if someone does not know they google it if they want to find out.

True, though I feel like anybody who is well versed in vMA likely won't want to display the Stormproof title anyway... They'll probably want to wait until they get Flawless Conq and display that. The change to Stormproof would be for people who have only just beaten vMA and want to feel good about it.

Personally I'd have preferred that the 'Maelstrom Arena Champion' title was awarded for beating vMA... as anybody can beat it on normal (granted, most can beat it on vet), and the Champion title is much cooler than 'Stormproof' IMO. Bit too late to change that though.

i have beaten vma 30+ times and still proudly display Stormproof when i eventually get flawless i'll do the same with that. they are the only 2 titles in the game worth having

If the bold statement is right then it is pointless to change the title.

People wear the title they want. For some it is to show off their best accomplishment and you will find a group there that wear Stormproof proudly. So no real need or reason to change the titles.

Because the number of people on each server that have cleared vMA is a very small minority of the playerbase!?

Or perhaps because its a nice sounding title?

Or maybe they have a lightning themed character and it sounds right on them?

Lots of reasons beyond just the elitist view of 'Everything except the best is trash'.

Seems like if you die 50 times without clearing it, we should get the title vMA participant.

Stormproof is BiS Stamsorc title. As a title I prefer it to flawless in fact. I kind of wish Stormproof were the flawless title and something else for the vet clear.
