Since implosion was removed for being RNG damage, why is burning light still a thing?

Since implosion was removed for being RNG damage, why is burning light still a thing?

Because implosion was instant death but nearly never procced while burning light is solid damage but not instant death and is really part of the identity.

How are the two any more or less part of an identity?

One was passive execute off a large selection of damage. Burning light only happens off spear abilities with the main ability being an AOE cone you can dodge roll out of. It also has a 0.5 second cooldown so only 2 hits of jabs will proc it.

What does that have to do with identity?

templar jabs will need total damage rework if you remove burning light proc as jabs damage is synergizing with this passive to have chance to be comparable to other spammable skills, if you remove burning lgiht proc and doesnt tweak something in jabs then you can isntantly throw into trash this skill with its low damage

while implosion maybe wasnt something the best as how briefly it was usable in overall and in dps this wasnt something special as it was only for undear 9% hp targets so even on bosses it hasnt good change to improve dps while on pvp it was annyoing as hell
not to common to proc but when it procced it was insta death mostly to everyone at that low % of health while without imposion proc everyone still have chance to survive even at 1% of health while implosion was this rng proc or not but if procced it was giving you no way to counter this

Well I'll counter and ask which Templar caught you with your pants down enough to get some burning light in you lol.

    Noise thread is noise.

I think Burning Light is very consistent. And if i remember right, the change to Implosion was meant to improve Sorc DPS.
    Templar DPS is great so...

This is why people don't like sorcs and NBs on the forums and call them whiners. You lose something and you start pointing fingers at others abilities you stretch to pretend are similar.

Again cause the burning light has been there forever and is the reason to use moves from the spear tree only works with those. It does consistent damage as you need it to have good dps, it is part of the class, now it can be removed but it would feel like stripping away something unique that was reliable and dependably procced. Vs with Sorc it was on any lightning/physical source not just from the class, it only procced below 15% health and truly barely ever procced. So it was an unreliable execute. That was too strong when it did proc in PvP. Instead it was replaced with Amplitude, a good skill that gives sorcs a nice consistent dependable buff. One was well thought out and worked with the class skills one was an afterthought that barely worked and was a near wasted passive.
