They removed the major expedition on it unfortunately.
Nightblades actually have quite potent tools in exchange for this. Lotus fan is a pretty dangerous ability, and the shade keeps 100% maim with decent damage as well. The Expedition nerf was unnecessary and shows that they are going overboard with their standardisation tools, but I'm actually looking forward to testing the new tools in pvp.
This does not mean I agree to all the changes NB got. Just as a disclaimer before someone jumps at me again.

Wait, isn't crippling supposed to retain the root, or an i simply reading your comment wrongly?
Anyhow, I disagree. Asking a light armor magblade to jump to people with a telegraphed skill is pure misunderstanding of class mechanics. Going into melee and back to range is part of the class features and way to perform, it's true, and that's what major expedition was used for. Lotus has a good dot and a nice buff, but against any half decent player it puts you in a dangerous position, that's all it does. If a nb gapcloses you, the options on what he's doing next are not many. Counterplay and punishment is immediate.
Moreover, the removal of expedition from crippling is a useless nerf that would not undermine the desire for people to use path because there still is no desire to use it, it's a garbage skill in 99.9% of cases

It is still supposed to root. And the first thing we told them is that for long buffs, having one source is fine, but having multiple Expedition sources was a factor of identity for mag NBs.
