Is eclipse not getting fixed this patch either?

I can't find any details on it - am I missing it? Or does it mean, that the long-time bugs with this ability will be allowed to persist?

Can I still put eclipse on a DK with spiked armor and chain-trigger eclipse when I hit him and his armor returns damge to me?

Does his DoTs on me still chain-trigger eclipse?

Can I walk in his AoE and take damage deliberately and watch my eclipse do damage to him?

Or are these mechanics intentional?

Maybe it should be considered that eclipse can only deal damage once per second?

You're missing it from the very first PTS version. At least the first issue. Never seen nor heard of the others until now.

From 5.0.0: Eclipse:

This ability and its morphs will no longer proc off Direct Damage attacks such as Spiked Armor or Thews of the Harbinger’s damage return.

Eclypse can only proc every 0.75 seconds i think, also volatile armor will not proc it anymore. Also ground aoes do not proc it, but the initial hit of every attack will.

OK, but are they ever going to address the fact that you have to bash 3 or 4 times to break free of Eclipse? I can't ever remember breaking free of it in a single GCD... it always takes at least two. That's ridiculous!

Probably when they fix double break free animation or just the long delay from break free to being able to move again. Its just terrible code. I personally would be good with them getting rid of the idea of eclipse entirely at this point

Breaking free from eclypse is tied to the GCD, so if you casted an ability or whatever, you will not be able to break free for one second and trying so results in bashing the air. Just take a break from everything and it should work. Otherwise its lag or you are on the GCD.

Glad to hear that the spiked armor thing is getting fixed!!

I know that if I am eclipsed and the templar runs onto my elemental blockade, it triggers - but it might just be the first tick when the templar steps onto the blockade which triggers it.

And agreed, together with fear and fossilize, it is the most wonky ability to break free from. ZOS should just let us tie CC-breaking to a hotkey. That would help a bit.

That happens because Eclipse is not a true CC that interrupts whatever it is that you are doing and take away control of your character, which resets your global cooldown.
