steam account graphics quality

I noticed that if I launch eso though Steam the graphics quality is much better than if I launch eso.exe directly without steam and then log manually with eso account credentials. the image is more darker and resolution seems lower although graphics settings are identical (checked twice). Any of u got same problem?
