From the looks of it, it won’t even be good. Just something to *** around with. It’s kind of silly. The concept of it doesn’t work at all in ESO PvP beyond being a kind of novelty. Give it a bit of time and I half expect that barely anyone will bother going after it anymore because 1) it won’t be as good as having your own skills and 2) you’ll get mobbed the moment you pick it up.

As per the patch notes today, Volendrung will no longer be affected by battle spirit. Meaning you can heal yourself and deal 50% more damage then anyone else in Cyrodiil. That is a huge buff.

Going through the lighting patch files and fixing what ever it was that causes massive lag.
Is a start.

It's actually 100% more (than before 5.0.2). I think I'll stay away from whoever is wielding that thing, let the zergs handle it.

Go back to 1.5 (or was it 1.6?)

1.6 was peak ESO.

No, 1.6 flushed all balance efforts made in previous patches down the drain, it was a disaster.

i wielded it too. even with the buff.
damage much better now.
but without Vigor/defense buff, honestly it's like a wet paper.
Dont' get me wrong, I think it's fine the way it is.... if a zerg picks it up, u can have 2-3 healers buffing/healing, then it'll be super powerful.
Imagine the usual zerg keeping a keep defender occupied, then suddenly BOOM BOOM BOOM HELLO WHOS THERE IT IS ME MARIO!
*wall opened*
That'll be fun. No it won't be OP coz people will still scramble and kill the wielder before he gets to Inner door, but it'll make things more fun.
Any more heal to this weapon WILL TRULY make it OP and no one wants to come to Cyro...

But they already removed AoE caps, that fixed everything.

It is far from OP.
The weapon is supposed to be very strong.
Now it is closer to underpowered if anything.

It's a waste of resources, it's a randomly spawning skill line it shouldn't be in the game.

It is just an addition to the combat so Cyrodiil will be a bit more fun.
Most players will get it once per campaign or two if at all.
It will be rare.
