am i allowed to live stream while in Public server tests...

just wondering, to be honest I don't usually read the agreements or which ever that document that covers, I think a lot of people do that, I figure as long as I don't do anything that would be considered criminal in nature, (i.e. taking credit for content) it's not a problem if live streaming isn't allowed in public test servers, I can easily wait to stream after full release, I just want to make sure I know that rule, so I don't make an error and cause my account to get suspended or banned. I just want to make sure of how that works with this game. Thanks for any info, or what guidelines for live streaming Public Test Server games

The NDA you signed covers the Elsweyr Main Quest content ... so you definitely want to stay away from that.

Anything else on PTS you’re free to stream.

@Scarhunter Anything main story after "A Rage of Dragons" is under NDA. So, the trick is not to do A Rage of Dragons. If you have, roll up another toon to be safe, I'd say.

I tend not to read the documents for games, I figure as long as I don't do anything illegal or any kind of harassment (which I never do; even if the person is being very annoying :P )

that's why I ask things, so as long as I don't follow the new main quest lines and such, I should be ok then, I don't do reviews, my idea is to stream the games I play, for people who may not know much about the game and need to look at some gameplay to decide whether they want to buy the game

or even if they don't have time to play the games, maybe they would watch games in videos and get some enjoyment out of it.

I better ask the obvious question then:

If your purpose is to stream gameplay for others, why do you need the PTS server for that?

Couldn’t you just do that on Live??

So why not just use live server?

i do use twitch. not sure if that's what that is, does ESO have their own live server i'm new to streaming been doing it for about 1 year so far was on youtube about 4 - 6 months, then i moved to twitch

i don't need the pts i just wanted to see some of the dlc a bit early and just needed to know the ground rules for streaming and pts, i know the pts is set up for help weed out bugs and such , i wanted to figure how to stream it and rules for it, so that i don't make an error in judgement and get myself banned or such, i don't know how to search for answers, so nda is "non disclosure agreement", so that's where i'd look to find what i can do and what i should avoid

^^^ this response i think i misunderstood what was asked before, i thought they were saying they had their own streaming thing, this is why i don't read the legal stuff, cos i occasionally misunderstand the gargon

I do that a bit, it's not until i reread things i connect what was meant

I decided I won't stream until elsweyr goes live I preordered the dlc and just have to wait until it's added I imagine it will be up on Sunday May 20th, around 12 am EST on Sunday so for me it's around 10pm on Sat the 19th, I guess I was in the PTS to see what it looks like I uninstalled my PTS I don't really want to find bugs for them, not that it isn't important, just something I am not really able to do, thanks for your responses I guess I had to ponder if I really wanted to help in the PTS area, which I decided I don't... I'll stop my Stewie Giffion ramble typing now (reference to the episode that stewie ramble writes a message about going to jolly farm :P
