Do you have trouble ignore resource points when playing?

I find I can rarely pass a resource point, even though it will dismount me and interrupt my travel. I sometimes even feel compelled to grab me when on my way to a WB or Dolmen/Geyser and it could cause me to be too late. Is this a challenge for you?

Almost all the time, but a few do tempt me.

Assuming resource points are material nodes then I rarely grab them. I pretty much only get them from surveys and while I'm waiting for a group to form.

Most of the time, but I can ignore them sometimes.

I've been playing since Beta so I have accumulated more mats than I will ever use. So, I do tend to skip nodes often (I'm always in a hurry to get somewhere). However, I can never pass up a jewelry resource node.

What are resource points?

I used to be a fairly compulsive harvester. I've stopped now. I found that taking all skill points out of keen eye passives, and switching off the glow, made it possible for me to ignore nodes completely. Without that glow there is just no temptation to pick them.

I have a bad habit of passing them by and then regretting it later. The thing I can't pass by is thieves' troves, if I hear that hum while riding I *have to* stop and find it.

I have so much lower-level stuff. I don't ever gather any of that any more. My main picks up stuff she's needing (never seem to have as much of the level 50 mats). Even with so many crafting (all 25, mostly every day) I never use enough to worry about it - because you get mats back of course.

I used to stop for every ancestor silk, but I have more than I'll ever use now so I usually don't any more. The only thing I stop for most of the time now is jewelry metal, since the refining materials are pretty scarce.

The only ones that tempt me are Water Hyacinth, Corn Flower and Lady's Smock.

I stop so often that I wonder why I even own a horse.

I stop for all Psijic Portals. Everything else is time vs current objective vs possible reward.

I don't have any trouble ignoring them, but I usually pick resources up which is one reason I rarely bother with a mount.

I don't always stop for animals (leather), but generally yes. My main is crafting-themed, so passing up on materials feels out-of-character.

I sometimes have to stop myself from grabbing them or I will never get to where I'm going. Also I have learned to pass them in Cryodiil. Unless it Columbine. I always stop for Columbine.

Depend, then doing something in an hurry I ignore them, if you are doing an quest in odd hours and have to look for stuff anyway this one tend to be easy distracted.

Since every single one of my CP level toons is magicka, I'm still kinda short on Ancestor Silk. Plus, it's almost impossible to find violet coprinus (or however you spell it). I always stop for both and the portals. And chests. And thieves' caches.

I probably have stockpiles now, ever since I quit doing writs I never do alchemy otherwise, and I never really check my craft bag. Kinda running off old data in my head-- I may actually have hundreds by now

Most times i do stop. The ones i just can't ignore though are ancestor silk, lady smock, corn flower and night shade. Every so often i'll stop for the runestones to see if i get lucky haha.

Just one of the reasons I've never used a mount in Oblivion or Skyrim. Needing to dismount every 5 feet is annoying.

When on ESO+ I find it hard to ignore pretty much every harvest node on my way, without dismounting and harvesting it. I can resist the urge, but then remember I've got the ESO+ Crafting Bag, so every harvest has it's good use.
When not on ESO+ I find myself easily ignoring harvesting spots lot easier, knowing they're of not as much use to me anymore. Still, the habit from ESO+ does remain and is hard to resist unless controlled. Which in itself if quite an interesting psychological reaction.

I can agree with that. I often don't mount up because I expect a resource soon. It doesn't always happen, but it works enough to be a strategy.

I do hate mounting and then seeing a resource node....

After launch i quickly learned it is not a good idea to pick up everything. With the crafting bag its a different story. I now mostly ignore them while mounted and pick them up while running.

Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm in a rush to the next dolmen or racing through Cyrodiil etc. But sometimes it is very hard to ignore them, if you are riding right next to it and they take literally 3 seconds to collect....just feels lazy to ignore them. xD
