Jewelry Crafting Takes Too Much Time...

Compared to the other types of crafting it just takes way to long to improve jewelry. It would be great if this could be adjusted someday.

A quick guide on how to level up jewelry faster. Its not that you are leveling slower the problem is jewelry drops less than other items.
    1. Champion points there is a bonus named "Inspiration Boost" which (Unlocks at The Tower Rank 30) Increases Inspiration gain by 20%. Get it!
    2. Any jewelry you get and you are not using should be deconstructed by the person you want to level up
    3. Jewelry has a lower drop rate, so it is probably a good idea to buy lower priced items on the guild store that are HIGHER or equal level to your current jewelry rank. Additionally take into account the rarity of the item you are buying too, ie something is purple assume it has a 50% to drop a purple mat and subtract that value from the item you are buying.
    4. Do writs! They give inspiration and if you can use the gold to buy more jewelry. More characters earning you Gold the better.

Source: I have like 6 characters that are about level 12 in it, two in the 40's and 2 maxed out. I make a killing off writ mats.
    Bug and Theorycrafter since beta.

I think you misread what he was saying. He said it takes to long to improve pieces not level the skill line itself.

Which is true you decon purple gear you have a chance to get a full purple, in jewelery if you decon a purple you have a chance to get 1/10 of a purple.

And to top it all off jewelery is harder to get in purple compared to any other craft.

So my point is it takes 4 purple mats to upgrade clothing but 40 purple mats to upgrade a ring. That's quite disproportionate.

Still don't have enough mats to craft a gold ring.. Way too much grind ^^

I agree the whole intention of the design seems to be just to infuriate anyone that might actually want to use it.

I get most of my gold jewelry mats from doing writs, but the best way to get purples is to refine raw jewelry mats. You can get Jewelry surveys from doing writs as well and those are the best way to get the raw mats.

So in summary, yes it blows, and I don't thing they are going to change it, but the best way to get what you want is to do jewelry writs on all 15 characters.

Sorry to burst a part of your bubble  , but that is only a small part of the reason. The major part is, that the Devs didn't want the Players to get *Golden* Jewelry too easily..! The main ways to acquire Jewelry are the following (as far as I know):

    Bound:
    • Final boss of a vet trial (except vAS HM)
    • Weekly vet trial leaderboard rewards (except vDSA)
    • Golden vendor (only for non-overland sets)

    Unbound:
    • PvP leaderboard rewards (campaign leaderboards and battleground leaderboards)
    • Weekly vDSA leaderboard rewards (only when vDSA is the weekly trial)
    • Boss loot from vAS HM
    • Golden vendor (only for overland sets)

Crafting Jewelry was only meant to be an *addition* to the already existing ways for acquiring it, but never ever as the sole way..!

What the devs will do - they already said that - is reevaluate the cost-benefit ration of the Jewelry Crafting-Writs… But that will be the only thing they are going to do... And if I should guess, I would say that they are going to do one or with luck even both of the following things:
    1. Increase the limit of vouchers you can get from *Epic* J-Master-Writs from 70-80 (that is as far as I am aware the point where *Epic* writs turn into *Legendary*, meaning every writ which offers more than 70-80 vouchers needs a legendary Jewelry) to 130-150.
    2. Increase the drop rate for gold grains just a tiny bit, so that the amount in circulation increases slightly.

    Best regards
    Shadow

Gold mats aren’t too hard to get if you’re a PvE endgamer. Try getting into a guild that runs Craglorn vet hardmodes.

Jewelry crafting makes me crazy and is the second most aggravating thing in the game after crown crates.

Three jewelry crafter maxed out and one at 46, writs every day four times a day.

Gathering every node I see including surveys from characters now.

Decon every piece of jewelry I find from white all the way to any gold jewelry from vet trials I don’t want or already have.

I have just enough supplies to make five pieces of purple jewelry and just got got enough gold mats to make two pieces of gold jewelry in roughly a year.

With roughly six new sets of gear (conservative) every quarter and only raid jewelry available in gold unless you hit the 1 a 52 from the golden.

I know there are people with more crafters then me and people with less. Having three going on four characters at max level shouldn’t take a close to year to be able to upgrade jewelry.

The barrier to entry for golden jewelry being locked/gated behind veteran hard mode or plus bosses in cloud rest raids . So casuals or filth casuals or any player who try to balance life, family, and job and for whatever reason or another just don’t have the time to dedicate to what raid groups guilds require.

I am appreciative they added to the game and I’m thankful they didn’t flood the market but I am doing the work and time to reward ratio is asstastic I mean it really effin blows chunks.
