After reading the 5.0.1 patch notes I am thoroughly disappointed at the fact that you are thinking about adding the dungeon pages back, and especially that you can buy them with tickets. When they were first released you made note that they would NEVER be returning and that this would be our only chance to get them. I should have known better though considering your track record...
As someone who is an in-game completionist and collector I spent hours farming each set, my own money to buy each weapon set, and spend endless amounts of keys to get the shoulders. Now you give them away just for fun as part of an event. The amount of them that will be coming into the game will make the pages worthless and not seem as rare to those who have obtained them. Also it is a huge slap in the face for anyone who spent their time and money obtaining them considering they could have just waited a few months and got them the easy way. Once again ZOS caters to the casual player. Please rethink this option

I really don't care if anyone else has it, just the fact that a lot of people spent their time acquiring them or spent a lot of gold buying the pages or weapon style from crown sellers. The entire idea of this post went right over your head.
"Note that the opportunity to acquire the Outfit Style pages for a specific boss will only last for approximately a month" @MissBizz while they did not in fact specifically state that they would never return they certainly implied that this would be our only chance to obtain them. Some people I know have big FOMO and stressed about trying to get them all.0 -

✭✭People are willing to pay $ for ingame items, it's lucrative. Without it the subscription cost would be higher, it's not cheap to hire programmers. There was a person who began the whole sell items ingame for cash back in the old game Everquest, he was 23 years old and worth over 10 million. Can't blame the game companies for wanting to get in on the action since it's their own game lol, plus it cuts down on scams and people sending them hey I got scammed emails. I don't like the style pages either as I made most of my gold from them when playing. It does also cut down on guild money's as some guilds perform farming events for pages to pay for things.
Edited this as one thing I do think is crummy is some things are only obtainable in the crown store, certain housing for instance. It's feels wrong on many levels.Edited by Veinblood1965 on April 25, 2019 1:25PM0 -

It is about the same as those dongeon motif being added to the anniversery event or monster helm at the golden (minus the rarity of drop)

It's a style page.
If people really want the look if that helm, anyone can get that helm by running rhe dungeon for it at the cost of gimping their build for it. The look is not exclusive.
The only people upset about this probably have 2 or 3 in storage waiting for rarity and prices to increase so they can make a killing selling them.

Ahhh there's the salty truth. Absolutely no one in this thread has said it is nice to get the helm styles because the content is to hard. You decided to make the jump in a effort to..justify your wasting time farming a style page from a DLC dungeon that has been so heavily nerfed that you can run it in green dropped untraited gear? I am glad for two different things here. 1) That everyone is getting free *** that they don't have to pay crowns for given the current issues with the game, and 2) You're whaling up to give IRL money for virtual dress up has kept the kerosene lamps lit in the ZOS server barn down by the old mill.5 -

Kinda dumb the regular motif pages are getting added back, especially since I just spent half a mil on the Kena one, but at least it wasn’t a crown store item. That would be a massive waste of money and a bit of a F U from zos if the crown store weapons get added for tickets.1 -

✭✭I think people are overestimating how often these pages will drop from the boxes. I think they'll be fairly rare, but then again, not really if you can just buy the pages with event tickets.
I understand someone who spent real money on the weapon pages not wanting others to get them for free. But, as MissBizz already mentioned, ZOS has returned a good number of things to the store on sale, when I paid full price for them. That's life, though. In this case, though, players can get them for free, rather than just at a discount, so I can understand being upset on that front.
But, the outfit pages I think are still only going to drop from the vet dungeon boss/Undaunted chests, unless they are also for tickets?0 -

No just felt like saying that since that's the role it seems they want to cast me into. I never once spent any money in the crown store except for my guild house. Anything I have bought from the crown store has been from crown sellers with in game currency. So nice try.0 -
Ancalag✭✭I'm really interesting in have that motifs, I wasn't able to buy them because I was too poor (in game, I almost never buy crowns without ESO Plus).
I made one dongeon per day from monday to open some event boxes and I'm a little disapointed. The drop seems to be very low, at least like Tharn's motifs (no loot for now in 4 dailies boxes and 4 regulars ones), but you need to complete a dongeon to have a box and only once per day, you have a big box that is basicaly a 3 in 1 box. I don't know how long the event last and how many ticket we will be able to gain, but with the number of weapon's motifs, it might be difficult to have them all.
So, the ones who bought them, don't worry, everyone will have to buy them too and if you drop one you could sell it at a very good price.0 -

Depending on the game, its cost decays overtime, eventually someone else will get it from a Gamestop bin for 5 bucks. That's economics. You bought the rights to use pixels in a game. Pixels that zos created and owns and reserves the right to distibute in any way they see fit. You do not even own those pixels, just usage rights, and you have no say in how Zos releases them to others. They could give the Grand Topal Hideaway to all players free tomorrow, they could do one day 500 dollar house sales, whatever they want. Are false senses of exclusivity, ownership and scarcity over pixels fair or right? Doesn't matter, its capitalism. Technically you don't even own ESO, you bought a license to use a product that zos has full control of. Welcome to 2019. You got what you were sold, nothing more or less. Moving on.2

Whether it's OK to bring the pages back or not, and setting aside the insane amounts of weird aggression in this thread, there is a serious problem with how ZOS creates expectations in the mind of the player.
Their saying something is only available for X amount of time has become virtually worthless. Something comes out for a limited time, and the language of the news post is highly suggestive and sometimes even explicit that this is the only chance.
Then, months later, they reverse that position, and people come out of the woodworks, foaming at the mouths to point at some very obscure wording in the news post that may or may not even exist but so obviously means it is not exclusive and how dare you wish to keep it from them.
It happened with the Snowcap Gryphon pet, and it is hsppening here. It saps customer goodwill and creates doubt in the gold economy, punishing speculators with unnatural plummets in value.
It's totally fine if ZOS wants to give more things to more people, and if this thread is any example there are obviously throngs of players ready to line up with lust in their eyes and their hands out, their hearts beating as fast as rabbits'.
But just stop this bait-and-switch exclusivity. Be more transparent with your long-term plans. If you have to restrain yourselves, write a news post saying "hey, no matter what we promise in 'the heat of the moment', we will break that promise unless it says this specific thing in this specific order. The only Exclusivity that should exist is from achievements. You either make it or you don't! But you can always go back and give it another try once you have gotten better and obtain the reward then.
