Lol. There’s always those naysayers on these cheating threads that come up with BS explanations for sketchy stuff. Yes, a huge majority of cheating claims are by players that don’t understand the game well, get butt hurt when they get rekd by a top-tier player, or both, but that doesn’t negate the fact that a) it is possible to cheat in this game, and b) if it’s possible to cheat, some people WILL cheat. Period.

Post a vid somewhere and tell us where to find it. Then we can give you informed opinions about whether it’s cheating or not. Or take it to Reddit. I doubt they have a name-and-shame policy.

    Until then, it’s just hearsay.

Totally should allow name and shame on forum. Protect the cheater is wrong. Also zos should pin a thread full of names of convicted cheaters.

If anyone ever witnesses cheating, please record it.

At present, the only form of cheating that’s been video documented in the last 2 years is some good old fashioned flying around (movement is client side, not server side, so it’s technically possible to hack this)

But there are no invincibility cheats, and no one has uploaded a video showing that in the last two years.

Meanwhile I have a video of someone totally immune to damage in that time period.

Posting it turns into naming/shaming and I can't be bothered.

It wasn't the only time I saw it... it was the only time I recorded it though... it's patently obvious the player in question was immune to damage though. In truth, I think it was a bug and he was unaware of it. But any bug, once known can be exploited for use.

So even in online poker there's been cheating, of course in a video game there will be.

What OP describes definitely sounds like cheating.

Cheat, Hack, Exploit, "creative use of game mechanics", "broken gear" build, whatever it is labeled as, if it is ToS legal, POST DETAILS OF THE BUILD.
There are those of us who choose NOT to PvP and enjoy the PvE environment that would benefit from the "tanky" build so we PvE'ers could go and do the Cyrodiil quests without getting farmed by "top-tier" players in gold trial-monster set gear.
On the other hand, perhaps the devs would provide us with a Sanctuary stone, rendering the player unable to do or to receive damage from/to another player. Or, what about Sanctuary zones in Cyrodiil, like the "you are trespassing zones"
Looking forward to details of the gear set to be tanky so i can finally do Cyrodiil quests.
Oh, and I choose not to PvP, so don't use the "git gud" or "L2P" comments for PvP, I do very well in Player versus Environment thank you.

Anyway about an hour into it, our zerg was defending a keep from reds, big battle going on inside the keep, and there was 1 blue guy just standing there on the steps right in the middle of the battle, he was taking tons of damage, not even moving, not casting skills, he would not die. I thought it was lag at first, but everyone else was losing health and dying etc.

We managed to kill all the reds and secure the keep, but this one blue was still there, he began to run around, jumping as he went. It did not matter how many people were hitting him at once, his health hardly moved if at all. He didn't even seem to be casting skills.

Fast forward about 30 minutes and we were re taking some lumber mill or farm or something, and there was that same guy just running around, not dying, not attacking either. But because no one could kill him at all, we were forced to move on to the next objective, but of course shortly after we left he re took the mill. So frustrating. Is this cheating? I'm not actually sure, i'm not really a pvper and not really sure about tanky builds. But i'm sure he must be cheating, no build should allow for an entire zerg battering you and your health not even moving. I noticed people were even stunning or snaring him, you would think then he would die, but no he would vanish from sight, then re appear yards away.

He had a german name, I can't say the name because of the forum naming a shaming policy, plus i'm not sure if he was cheating, i just strongly lean to that way of thinking based on what I saw.

    Anyone have any ideas?

So yeah, this is funny. I know who you are talking about, he as like 58k HP? He is not cheating or exploiting. Justing using troll king helmet and I imagine a lot of other health-regen gear. He doesn't do a lot of damage, he is just there to troll. It is funny to watch. Friend of mine plays NB and he gets 5.8k Health regen with troll king without anything else. He is just using funny gear sets to troll big groups.

First of all to the starting post... Neoealth i am sure you meet @Extrawelt86
He just run around and can't almost not take damage, even 15-20 hit him.
He dont need roll dodge, he just dont take damage but like you say he rarely attack, if you do you dont know if he have build for tank or dd, he have a high damage.
@Extrawelt86 only do what Zenimax allow and Zenimax allow cheating if the can't detect the cheating.
I play for many years ago at a private server, people from Poland, students who used this private server for teaching, the did't got payed for there work so it was amateur who make the programming, the was a lot better then Zenimax for make software to detect cheating.
Compare to this amature students, Zenimax software development is complete newbies.
ESO is not like many other games, if some report a cheater, other game normaly can detect it or send a moderator for check it out, Zenimax dont use this.
Cheating is allow so long time it can't be detected !
The good news about computers is that they do what you tell them to do.The bad news is that they do what you tell them to do.

funny that you post 6 videos.
5 show some sort of cheat to get invisible/clip into keep highjumps.
1 show a legit tank who can bunnyhop.

and the only guy thats very tanky in those 6 vids is the legit player.

Funny how many times in this thread you have tried to brush cheating under the rug as if it isn’t happening. It doesn’t matter if it’s a hack or an exploit, it’s still cheating.

All the videos showed cheats in action. The first two videos are of the player cheating - that’s why they were so tanky... The other videos were of other players cheating.

The reason I posted those videos, which took all of 1 minute to find on youtube, was to show that there are cheats happening and not to just brush it off as the Defenders would like us to.

i dont try to brush cheating unser a rug. everything that used external code ia not legit. everything that doesnt is legit. its that easy for me. and bunny hopping is certainly possible since always and was never fixed or aknowledged by Zos. i in my and many othsr opinions its fair to use. everyone can do it after all

and the first 2vids you posted doesnt Show tanky players. they show someone using an invisibility hack. i dont defent this at all. but abusing battle leveling or the way strifing speeds you up ia jot a cheat at all
