Just like we have a hide helmet we need a hide option for all the other peices. I know this has been asked for before and I am asking for it again. Thank you.

No way.... we would have far too many naked people running around which is stupid.... hide helm is fine as is. Especially with the outfit system and costumes.

I just posted in this thread:

    Look at #10.

Not an exact answer to your thread, but it may make some of the obnoxious armor pieces less annoying in the meantime.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

There is already no way to stop naked people from walking around. One click can remove all pieces or re-equip them

I understand your point and even made it myself years past for ESO online. However there is no way to stop what you already fear and adding hide armor will not encouage any more of it for the above reason I stated.

True but the quantity of butt naked knights would be out of control

What's wrong with naked people? Also, I doubt it's going to be that common. How often do you see people wearing the nordic bath towel?

All the time. It’s a costume. Also if you want to be naked that’s fine but hiding all your gear with it is ridiculous.

If they wanted to remove shoulders like was shown in a PTS then I could see it happening perhaps.

Hiding all armor just to be naked will be no more an issue than it is now. Nothing is stopping those people from doing it now.

However the abity to hide any piece of armor would be a significant improvement on customization, allowing some possibly very nice outfits otherwise not manageable.

I used to think this. Then I actually looked at the crowds in Vivec. Now, I'm not so sure. I'm pretty sure some idiots will simply run around naked anyway.

Belts, gauntlets, and shoulders would be nice, though. I wouldn't care much about feet, but I suspect some people want to go without their boots.

What's your definition of "all the time" because I maybe see one every other day.
Why is it ridiculous? You can already make your heavy armor look like an evening dress or a peasant costume. How is this any different?

I'd like to hide those hip plates. So many of them are ridiculously huge and look like crap as a result clipping into our toons hands and such.

This hasn't been true in any game that has allowed this feature. Even in Conan Exiles with the Fashionist mod people still fully clothe themselves even though they can have everything hanging out (including males).

Personally I really want Gloves, Belts, Shoulders, and Boots to be hideable. I have a friend who wants the chest to be hideable for a more tribal look for his character.

The painted on underwear looks plain enough that I'd think most would keep it covered. Also a major selling point is skins are easier to show with more skin exposure. I've never been a fan of getting or buying some of those because you cannot display them without taking off armor. This would change that.

ZOS can help us buy more stuff with this change.

+1 for this! Whats the point in spending so much time making skins, questing for skins, or buying skins if they will be just covered up?

Zos has said they are considering the ability to hide other pieces. However, it is my hope they do not go to silliness some other games have where all armor can be hidden. That is just childish.

I would probably hide every piece, just not all on the same toon. I have low level males that are bare-chested and it would be nice to retain that look when I equip monster sets on them. I have one female that I would like to hide her leg covering, her chest armor has large tassets and loin flaps which cover much between the knee and waist. None of my characters would display shoulder armor. I would hide most hand and waist armor and a couple characters would hide shoes. None of them would be "naked".

It would give a greater degree of customization and I would appreciate it.

Why is it childish? If i want my nord to be naked that's my choice, same was said about pink swords, not many of those around either. And i run around in zones a lot.

I agree with OP that the ability to hide any slot is a good thing.

    - Hide helm. Well established in game and good, popular feature.
    - Hide shoulders. Popularly requested for years and pretty well-accepted as a good idea.
    - Hide chest. What self-respecting barbarian wants to be other than bare-chested?!?
    - Hide hands and feet. Our friends who have claws might very well want to play with them unhindered by human/mer things called gloves and shoes.
    - Hide belts. Who cares or could possibly object if someone hides their belt?
    - Hide pants. My little elf would love to wear her mid-thigh tunic with light-weight knee high boots and no pants. As a mage, her survivability does not depend on scraps of cloth around her legs.

Guess that covers it all except for a parting thought: Which is more important, your right to have choices or your right not be offended by the choices others make?

So far hats, shoulder pieces and belts, afaik.

At this point it makes no sense given anyone can go around in their underwear and with addons like dressing room it is an easy one click option. I get the desire to keep the seedier elements out of the game but hide armor does not promote or enable them anymore than the tools already in the game.

However hide armor does offer and easy to implement and a significant ability to customize character outfits which many have asked for and I am asking for again.

People should be able to customize their characters how they want, it should not affect you, and it's no different than people just using nordic bathers towel anyway.

Eh, at least naked in this game is still covered. As for how many towel-clad toons I see? A dozen at least while crafting on two accounts every morning.
