The option to hide shoulder pads and belts

I can’t speak for anyone else but the hide helmet feature is one I like being able to toggle it on and off is an amazing QOL feature however, shoulder pads and in some cases belts can be just as if not worse to put up with.

The ability to hide this supposedly has been in the development build of the game for over a year now and while I could see why they might not want to allow everything to have a hide feature I feel these two at least should of made there way to the live game by now.

Even the smaller belt buckle designs still have that "urban cowboy" vibe to them, I can see wanting to have a streamlined outfit without that sticking out there. Especially since they all dye differently and the one that matches the rest of your outfit might be dumb-looking.

A lot of them seem to float a mile off your characters stomach.

Theres a screen of a Dev Build client where you can hide all armor slots in the outfit station. Still no idea why that isnt live, the screen is years old now.

And hipd flaps too. Most shoulders and hips pads are just magically floating next to your character body without actually attach to anything.

Shoulders and belt. I agree these are the only other two that should have the hide option like helmet.

It would be nice if we could get a developers insight on that as it’s such a small feature they all ready have all ready to go surely there’s no negative to implementing this right?

I finally gave in on most of my 'toons that don't wear disguises and just went to an outfit station and morphed them into Dark Brotherhood or Dwarven style shoulders/epaulets because this style almost disappears against the upper arm of the character/armor.
There are other styles that do similar.

Diapers and floating hips can be disappeared from the 'toon using any of several jerkin or cuirass styles.

Any of you who haven't considered that option, or gone to look at the choices -> Give it some exploration.

The Prophet's outfit doesn't have an associated belt slot.

Use skinchanger medium shoulders meanwhile, they blend quite well with the rest of the outfit.
Mercenary (medium i think) shoulders are cool too.
As for the belt use the Aldmeri heavy one :)

Yes please on your suggestions. What annoys me the most because it always messes up my looks is the hip crap. Like i don't get why that is even there.

Yeah, it’s a shame they would be hard to remove the hip guards as they aren’t considered separate

Belts usually don't bother me, but I'd love to be able to hide the shoulder pads. On some of my characters, especially my small, skinny khajiit, even the smaller shoulders look huge or float way above her actual shoulders, and the ones which lie relatively flat often don't go with a lot of other armour (especially the khajiit chest armour, which is sleeveless). Sometimes I remove them if I'm taking screenshots, but it would be really nice to just hide them.

Yeah, it’s a shame they would be hard to remove the hip guards as they aren’t considered separate

Which seems somewhat ironic since the problem with them is often that they are seperate pieces - visibly floating away from your characters body with nothing connecting them. I know what you mean, it wouldn't be as simple as hiding the shoulders or helmet because they're not a seperate armour piece with it's own slot, but if ZOS did want to offer us versions of the armour without hip flaps I imagine it would be an easier change to make than if they were connected to the main piece.

With the new Bal Fiera set that does not come with a belt pice, I think the hide belt option has reached new importance! For me at least.
