PVE Cyrodil

Here's a marketing idea for the Devs; create an instance for Cyrodil that is only PVE. Bring back all the deer, insects, crafting nodes and let everyone enjoy playing the content in Cyrodil. Keep the current instance so the war and constant pointless fighting can continue, but introduce an opportunity to allow everyone to go to Cyrodil and enjoy the game on their own terms and at their own pace. World bosses, housing, new crafting styles and armor/weapon sets could easily be added to such a large and varied landscape. Not all of us are interested in how our numbers compare to other players or how "good" we are. It would be nice to explore Cyrodil with the intent of revisiting the lore from Oblivion.

PvE players get new content every 91 days. Rather than making clones of existing content minus the danger, I'd rather have new zones to explore.

Have you ever been in ESO's Cyrodiil?

Imagine TES IV with all the life sucked out of it and replaced by a 10 to 12 fetch quests in each little town.

You don't want a PVE version of that Cyrodiil.
World bosses, housing, new crafting styles and armor/weapon sets could easily be added to such a large and varied landscape. ... It would be nice to explore Cyrodil with the intent of revisiting the lore from Oblivion.

Go to the Gold Coast. You'll get your Oblivion nostalgia in spades, plus actual content to go with it.

Or ask for the areas of Cyrodiil we haven't seen, like Bravil.

My magplar goes to Cyrodiil in her light, divines armor. She has done everything there is to do in Cyrodiil......all skyshards, all delves, all dolmens, Master Angler, all town quests, etc. She can, also, take resources by herself and has helped fighting for keeps and running scrolls. She does mission and scouting board quests. Part of the fun of doing all that is being always on your guard. So, if you want to enjoy the content in Cyrodiil, go do it. It's not that hard. No changes necessary.

I think a cyrodiil pve zone would be awesome. But a whole new thing separate to pvp.

    -whole new quests
-helping imperials recover parts from molag Bals forces.
-help your alliance with something/multiple endings there.
-going to the centre isle and imperial city.
-setting up the towns/trade routes again

Could be lots of potential fun and since it’s the biggest map lots to with as well

I would like a PvE cyro even if it didn't have any new content. Most of the time i go to cyro it's to go to the zone. not for pvp. I don't even do the quests usually. though probably one of the reasons I like exploring it is cause there aren't many other people there and not an enemy (npc enemy) every 2 feet like in most zones.

This again... I dont get it, cyrodiil is the most boring and underwhelming zone in the game compared to the other ones. Why on earth do u want it as a pve zone? The place doesnt even got any grass lmao, PvP is the one and only reason i go in there, pls dont take that away from me, thank you

I agree, but only if we can have dungeons, trials and arenas that require no PVE. Why should PVP people be deprived the beauty of these place just because they don't like to PVE? They should just be able to stroll in and enjoy a leisurely scenic walk to the end to pickup the loot. They can still keep the current versions for the people who like to PVE though.

If something i learned this week is that those PVE players who accuse the PVP players of being weepers are equal or worse.

They can not stand that one week out of FIVE is PVP, that level of selfishness is incredible.

I'd be okay with it as long as you can't earn AP or receive any PvP related achievements. Without the ability to take a keep the gates will never open, so no skyshards for you.
So yeah, enjoy your vast wasteland with empty keeps. I hope you have fun.

I don't think OP is asking to remove PvP. just a server where PvP is disabled. similar to how we have no-cp or only lvl 50 campaigns etc. They aren't trying ot take it away from you.

it's one of the prettiest zones IMO but harder to enjoy if you can't play with friends bc they are on a differant alliance.

    I'll Give this a +1 to yes.

Would be nice to have a chance to go in earn the various Motifs that exist in there without having to worry about some other player caring more about their Alliance war rank than anything just trying to screw you over for their own enjoyment.

Or alternately give players a way to Opt out of the PvP aspect so you can just go an explore and roam around without having to watch for other players..

I don't think turning pvp off just for yourself is a good idea bc how it would be abused. Either you're in the server taking up space from the actual pvpers or ppl could use it to spy on whats goin on basically. I mean maybe if they can't talk to their own alliance or group with them and stuff but still it would have people clogging up the pvp server with pvp ppl not even able to kill them and get ap off it. so I think having one without pvp would be better imo?

The reasoning OP provides is pretty weak.

We already get world bosses, housing, new crafting styles and armor/weapon sets every quarter as it is. That is not a justification for a PvE Cyrodiil.

More important, it is a very bad idea for Zos to start created different versions of every zone in the game because some people want a different version. So if you want the more than 60 skill points locked beyond Cyrodiil then you are going to have to risk dealing with PvP.

Sure you can have a pve cyrodiil, just as soon as I can get a masters weapon from a simple fetch quest and not have to risk dieing. Sounds fair, entitlement and participation trophies for everyone! :D

A PVE Cyrodiil would be TOTAL crap without a lot of work. The zone is empty and the PVE quests are completely mindless without even decent stories. The effort required is better placed in a different area -- and one that doesn't step on the toes of PVP players.

Let's face it, this is another loot box thread. It's disgusting. So-called gamers losing their crap over them need to look in the mirror.

I don't care how they do it, I'm simply trying to highlight that there are options and it would seem that there is enough demand for a non-pvp version of Cyrodill and Imperial City that by now they might as well just do it.

Personally as someone who doesn't even have access to a server on the same side of the equator as me and thus having to play with a permanent 290+ ping I feel anything that forces me into PvP is demanding I play at a disadvantage just because I don't live in Europe or the United States..

I've seen ZoS claim that a Oceanic server would be empty of players and to that I say ***.. put a server south of the equator and you will get Australia, New Zealand and most of South East Asia on there without a doubt.

Why can't you play with your friends from other alliances? If you're looking to do the PvE in PvP, there is nothing saying you can't do delves or dolmens or whatever with people from another alliance, especially in a slow campaign.

The entire rest of the game is PvE. It's just getting really old hearing about it so often.

Uh did you miss the obvious.. if your playing with people from the opposing alliances in Cyrodil your vulnerable to each others AoE attacks and any missed swing might hit a "friend"

Kinda defeats the whole purpose of doing PvE content in a PvP zone if your killing your own "friends"

Lmao. You can avoid each other. I've done delves and dolmens with random people I didn't even know and, yes, we would hit each other here and there, but it wasn't enough damage that we couldn't recover and work together to kill mobs and bosses. I didn't miss a thing.

We’ve got enough PvE zones, we don’t need Cyrodill, let the PVPers have it. It’ll be a terrible PvE zone anyway. Too big and empty, hardly anything to do. Not worth it. We’ve got Gold Coast and probably one or two more DLC’s to come if you want your Oblivion nostalgia.
