This again... I dont get it, cyrodiil is the most boring and underwhelming zone in the game compared to the other ones. Why on earth do u want it as a pve zone? The place doesnt even got any grass lmao, PvP is the one and only reason i go in there, pls dont take that away from me, thank you

Right! Lol this "Idea" comes up all the time from people who are to afraid to venture in cyrodil

My original comment stated nothing regarding modifying the current state of Cyrodil, but creating an area for everyone to explore and enjoy using the existing template; modified and enhanced with elements of the Elder Scrolls story that we were drawn to in the first place. No AP, no stones, nothing that comes from the current version of Cyrodil except the part of Tamriel many of us are unwilling to experience because of the nature of the area. Many of us who experience the dog-eat-dog environment in our daily lives do not find the competitive nature of PVP to be what we would choose to do in our free time. I personally would pay for a PVE Cyrodil add-on if that's the route Zenimax would take to enhance the game in that way.

oh i have so much good idea for a pve related cyrodiil, wich will not even bother the pvp version of it at all. so the henters will remain in their enviroment.

Here's a marketing idea for the Devs; create an instance for Cyrodil that is only PVE. Bring back all the deer, insects, crafting nodes and let everyone enjoy playing the content in Cyrodil. Keep the current instance so the war and constant pointless fighting can continue, but introduce an opportunity to allow everyone to go to Cyrodil and enjoy the game on their own terms and at their own pace. World bosses, housing, new crafting styles and armor/weapon sets could easily be added to such a large and varied landscape. Not all of us are interested in how our numbers compare to other players or how "good" we are. It would be nice to explore Cyrodil with the intent of revisiting the lore from Oblivion.

Without reading what you say how about no lol. If you want to visit pvp zone then be prepared for pvp. If pvp players visit a pve dungeon they expect for the monsters to attack them so either learn to do pvp or just stick to pve.

Why can't you play with your friends from other alliances? If you're looking to do the PvE in PvP, there is nothing saying you can't do delves or dolmens or whatever with people from another alliance, especially in a slow campaign.

The entire rest of the game is PvE. It's just getting really old hearing about it so often.

Uh did you miss the obvious.. if your playing with people from the opposing alliances in Cyrodil your vulnerable to each others AoE attacks and any missed swing might hit a "friend"

Kinda defeats the whole purpose of doing PvE content in a PvP zone if your killing your own "friends"

We've done this as a guild event. Cleared delves and got skyshards and did dolmens. We made sure there were at least 2 people from an alliance represented so that they could rez each other if necessary. We managed to not kill anyone in the process. It was a lot of fun.

Well, at least you recognize that the zone does not work as a plain PvE zone if you simply remove the PvP from it. Which is why a PvE Cyrodiil will not happen. The amount of work needed to make it a PvE zone with any staying power would be enough for an entire year of updates/new zones outside of it.

That said, going into Cyrodiil for PvE is really not such a big deal outside of events. Most of the PvP action happens on the frontlines, and most of the delves are empty. You may need to take certain precautions, and you need to be prepared to, yes, encounter other players, who *may* attack you. But you can choose to not let it bother you and just keep going.

I have Cyrodiil fully completed on 3 characters now (my sorc just did Vlastarus and Chorrol/Weynon this weekend), and I'm working on a couple of other characters. It's a pretty relaxing zone once you get used to it.

Sure. I'm all for it. As long as there's no skyshards, lore books, quest, achievements, AP, fishing holes or Tel Var stones. And the events throughout the year only occur on the pvp version. Then I'll get behind this idea 100%. But I suspect those that say they just want to "explore" won't like this version lol.

I suck at PVP. I don't particularly like it, and so I haven't invested any time in gear or setups for it. I fully expect to get my nethers handed to me anytime I go to Cyrodiil. And that's fine. If I want the stuff from PVPland (AP, TV, transmute crystal things), I gotta take the lumps and earn it. So, no, I don't support this idea.
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

The OP is suggesting a PVE only cyrodill zone where the town quests can be done seperately from any pvp interference.

I see this as a good idea myself the other thing that should be mentioned though that of course there would be no PVP rewards attainable from this version.

Not suggesting the removal of PVE from them either just an option for those that hate PVP.

I never thought the addition of the town pve quests was a good idea in the first place and knew this would cause friction at some time.

Oh, and yes I would still visit PVP versions as I do enjoy doing PVP occasionally just not that good at it.

Same! I just also like to enjoy the zone and not worry about pvp or also like to play with friends who are on other alliances. And we have played together despite that in cyro too but cant party or res eachother or anything so :| Like I realize it probably won't ever happen but there's no harm in people showing interest for it / letting zos know it's a thing people want.

Something like this would be cool, and maybe something like a flag indicating that you are rdy or not for pvp (switching pvp off/on) on that campaign only, and it would lock you from PvP in this campaign for the rest of the day or you would have to relog to flag yourself as PvP ready.

Here's another idea how about a PVE only zone during the events.

Can be added and removed with the other zones.
