Let me guess, you are EP and KoS everything that is not your color?

People coexisted on the farm just fine when I stared at Shor, but then reds came and started "defending" it.. After a few pvpers appeared, pve red started feeling very brave and also began attacking everyone. More than that, they would allow you to approach the NPC, but then would light attack every 5 second to prevent you from talking to the questgiver.. before eventually killing you. Could not be you, but someone with a similar mindset. After I switched to EP myself since it was impossible to play at all, I saw reds whining in chat that AD now gank them.

Well, that was well deserved due to their sh*tty attitude.

@StormChaser3000 I think you might be in the wrong thread. :p

Nope, that's a correct one. I didn't say it directly, but "saviour of questers" OP deserved to hear what they heard ;)

I'm no savior, the best I can hope for is to help a better player survive a bit longer when they are outnumbered before I am inevitably playing the riding sim again. I am, after all, one of those PvE folks just in for a visit.

As far as which side I am on, depends on which character I'm playing. I loyal to the faction of the character and I never play them in the same campaign as one of my other characters (which won't be a problem before long anyways).

I tend to leave folks alone and avoid them all together unless I'm getting ganked or I see someone outnumbered, then I try to help out the outnumbered player or report where the gankers are so better players can help out, stuff like that. I never wait and Gank in towns. I have been known to attempt it on scouters around resources though but I usually loose those fights too (not always). I also don't shy away from defending in a full on attack.

If there is one thing I do that folks may not like, I like to hunt spawning camps and wait for the enemy faction to all respawn and be heading to their fight and burn it to the ground while they are away. As other say, "Serves them right" for not leaving it defended. Any PvE geared person can pull that one off with enough patience. If you get tired of getting ganked consider that as turn about fair play.

Not Cyrodiil specific but I long ago disabled zone chat due primarily due to annoying spam that has nothing to do with ESO. I also don't want to see adds to sell stuff or guild recruiting adds. 'Tis a shame because I would love to see things like, 'LF help with xxx WB' or 'LF healer for normal xxx dungeon'. Trouble is the things I would like to see get totally lost in the jabberspam.

Oh, then then it sound that you can only "defend" when there are numbers. And eventually this turns into gank fest for your buddies. Exactly what happen in Shor today.

But whatever. I'm using a "chameleon" tactics now, so your efforts now benefit me. Haven't been killed even once in more than 70 quests now.

The first thing I did when I started playing WoW (my very first MMO) was turn off chat channels. Because the very first thing I saw was some slimeball propositioning my new NE for ERP. I never turned it back on. I did set up other panes for guild chat as that was all family and friends....

So logically the very first thing I did when I started playing RIFT, and now ESO - was disable chat channels.... I just don't want to see it. And in fact, I've gone to setting my main account offline, as getting whispers from people for ERP is just as repellent now as it was 13 years ago. And yeah, before anyone asks, this time was on one of my Bosmer - and one who is pretty much totally covered up, certainly not at all "naked" or "underdressed"! At some point I'll probably have to do the same with the second account.

Stuff like that creeps me right out. MUCH worse than politics.

I havn't been playing with any buddies yet, I solo 90% of the time. It would be fair to say I'm not capable of defending by myself, but that doesn't stop me from trying when folks are getting attacked while trying to go through a door. And I will attempt (usually fail) to turn the flag next to the house where the quest giver is so that the NPCs don't attack folks from my side when they try to enter.

Free world? You don't follow the news much do you? There's a couple of reasonable free countries left but the number is shrinking...

Only one country has a documented Right to freedom of speech, the last time that I looked.
Be careful how you exercise it.

What is usually meant by "politics: in a forum thread is "YOUR politics". Who would decide what level or if something is "politics"?

ZOS will, I will report w/e I believe is politics.

It isn't difficult to define a baseline as to what is considered politics.
