    As bad as Stamplar is, I have never, in 23+ years of MMOing, ever seen a spec get gutted as badly as the NB tank.

    This is really not a good thing.

    Previously, this ability was providing a considerable amount of healing compared to what the tooltip implied, while also not providing a lengthy enough period of time to engage with the Minor Protection granted. Now with the duration increase, both the protection duration and the total healing will be improved, but over a longer period of time to prevent the "bursty" nature of the previous heal.

    That is the reason they have given in the patch notes.

    guys all these NB nerfs are because of new Necromancer class, my main is sNB and tbh i didn't like all dps nerfs at all, at first i thought that ok NBs are really strong (but not OP coz of low survivability), and after i noticed that even NB tanks are nerfed. So here is the question why did they do it???

    Answer: Anyway best tanks are still argonian DKs, they did this to make players BUY new chapter and try ALL roles on Necro. Thats it.

    P.S. Imho this is very bad solution how ZOS bringing new things into the game, and remember my words, after 1-2 patches they will NERF necro and buff NB again linking that they realized some classes are not performing as intended, remember Warden in PTS and after... same ..... again. And as always thank you for reading.

    Those reasons dont make any sense. The previous version wasnt even a burst heal... And minor protection uptime isnt an issue. Dragon blood for the golden child of tanking just got buffed and it was already a very bursty heal so where is the logic?

    In fairness, DK Tanks commonly use green dragon blood. It’s the other, magicka-based morph that got a buff this patch.

    You’re right that the wording doesn’t make sense, though. The way the issue is worded makes it sound like the tooltip read one thing but the actual healing performed another way (e.g. something in the code was calculating the amount incorrectly). If that was the case, just fix the code and leave the ability as is.

    In actuality, I imagine that the minor protection is what makes it strong “compared to what the tooltip implied.” Nerfing the heal tick strength definitely makes the ability weaker, but I’m guessing it’ll be even stronger now for the builds they thought were abusing it in the past because they maintain the buff for longer and have more potent sources of healing anyway. Just speculating, though, because the wording doesn’t make sense.

    No, the wording doesn’t make sense. Not when you can have 100% uptime on minor protection just from slotting temporal guard. Minor protection isn’t even that strong, especially on a tank build.
    Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
    LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
    PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
    Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

    That is there reasoning. You asked for it and they already provided it.

    I have not tanked in a NB since Morrowing, used to have fun with them. However, with regular tanking on a DK I had always preferred Vigor to Dragon Blood as it provided a HoT so I could use it slightly preemptively and not just when my health was low enough to make it worthwhile.

    If I read the notes properly they are turning dark cloak into HoT of sorts. For PvE that might be good. For PvP it really depends on how it is used.

    Their wording kinda implies that they see this change as a buff, not a nerf.
    That's quite funny XD

    (i'm kidding i don't think it's funny please don't kill my NB tank?)

    ZOS can go suck an egg with this nerf.

    They killed everything that NB Tanks used to excel in. Our damage, sustain, utility, and now our self heal have all been gutted to a point that they might as well get rid of the entire "Play as you want" hogwash and label each class exactly as its designed because that's all ZOS ever seems to balance around anyways.

    DK=Tank
    Templar=Healer
    Sorc=Magic DPS
    NB= Stamina DPS
    Warden = Support
    Necro = $$$ class

    Don't see a point of climbing a steep hill if an avalanche comes and sends me back to the start every time.

    Isn't it a bit funny that people have been screaming "Nerf Cloak" for ages (while referring to Shadowy Disguise), and ZOS actually nerfs Cloak?
