Should PVE get a better black than Legate Black?

No. PvP doesn't have many perks. The best reds and best black used to be one of them which encouraged ppl to dedicate time into them.

Thats very subjective. What you consider to be a good color/dye, might not be for someone elses taste.

I think the black dye [Void Pitch] you can get from Vateshram Hollows is the best black I've seen so far. You don't even have to do vet content for it.

Nah. They should just make obtaining legate black easier. Either lower the rec or make it easier to gain PvP ranks. For example, they could make BG rewards for PvP rank higher so they contributed more to your PvP rank. They could also make the dyes from the crownstore permanent and make one that costs like 500crowns that will unlock an unidentified dye or something. Eventually you'd get the one you want.

The void pitch dye is actually pretty easy to get (took me an evening), but it's definitely not black. It's dark purple - and varies quite a bit on what you put it on, but it's still great. I'd very much support an actual black though that isn't brown, grey, or purple attainable with a pve achievement.

Pve already has a better one with coldharbor black. Its the best black in game, have it on all my characters lol

juli white, coldharbor black, colossal brass and lycanthropy gray. Only colors that exist in this game to me.
