^This, I have 10 characters all leveled up, with a full build and got full mount upgrade, however, most of them had no "character background" when I build them (forced levelup during double xp time) and most of the time I play only few of them. I'm thinking of deleting some of them and create some new characters, from lv1 without speed leveling, so I can feel more "attached" to them and come up with build myself, but thinking of all the money and time I spent into them (mount upgrades, gears farming etc) gives me pause

Just spent 20 minutes stuck in combat without being in combat. Just waiting for a decent MMO and then I'll have no problem deleting game.
I do it quite often. I think I like the "journey" more so than the "destination".
Exactly why I'm leveling up characters on the my EU server account - to see if I could still stand the challenge of starting with no immediate assistance: Gold = 0, food = 0, potions = 0, CP = 0, Craftable sets = 0, etc.^This, I have 10 characters all leveled up, with a full build and got full mount upgrade, however, most of them had no "character background" when I build them (forced levelup during double xp time) and most of the time I play only few of them. Assuming you play all of them on one server, the answer is to leave them intact and start over on the other server for your platform. Unlike the other option of running a second account on the same server, switching servers has the advantage of really starting over because you can't mail gear and gold etc to the new characters.
