Doesn’t anyone play Super Nintendo anymore? True master race.

I remember going to best buy a couple of years ago and noticing none of the computers had disc drives...and, then - I suddenly remembered 8 track cassettes
yeah, can't imagine discs will be around all that much longer...

My experience is PS4 population >>> PC, but it could be time of day. Just wondering what you guys see and how that might relate to the debate.

There already is far less choices of components to build your PC with then there was a few years ago.

Consoles are actually far more likely to go extinct.
Game streaming will likely replace them within a generation or two. Why would people spend $500 on a console and $50 on games when they can play all the same games on a cheap media box or tablet for a small monthly fee? The competitive advantage of consoles is their price. Streaming gives you better game performance for a fraction of the cost.
PC gaming might still have a market as almost all e-sports are on PC (e-sports is a billion dollar industry). Streaming won't work for e-sports due to input lag and 60 FPS lock.

I use a PS4 controller for all action games on my PC. I also play games on my TV via Steam Link.

There are zero to none pro's when it comes to console. multimedia?? link your pc to your tv boom netflix. sit on the couch with a controller? possible on PC aswel. Addons telling you what to do? no one is forcing you to use these, if you want to clear content through skill dont use addons?
stop telling lies, there's nothing console does better then PC, coming from a console player.
This.
Name me one thing that a console can do that a PC can't, and I'll eat my hat.
"Couch Gaming"?
There's a reason mATX/ITX form factors exist: So you can fit your PC in your living room and you guessed it! Play games from your couch! I have a good friend who does just this. And I mean an IRL friend. I've used said mini PC myself. Oh... And guys, it's a beast that massively outperforms consoles.
Reliability. A console is better at guaranteeing every single game you boot up will work 1st time without fail. Without having to spend endless hours trawling the net to pin point why that game won't load on your PC or why it's constantly crashing. Barring a fault that lies squarely with the devs, I can count on one finger how many games haven't worked straight out of the box on console. I can't say the same thing about my gaming pc.
The only time i can remember fiddling on my pc is because i was gaming on linux and not windows with a game that was made for windows. as far as playing windows games on windows goes, i cant remember ever having a problem and i have been gamin since atari came out with it's first console. I think you sound sad and bitter. please stop arguing over things you obviously have no experience with.
Aye, sounds legit
Pong. anyone remember playing pong? it was a blast.
Now if you know what an Imsai 8080 and an S-100 bus is I will be impressed with your ancientness.
Oh wait I'm old. lol
My first computer i bought used from the secretary at our clinic. It was a tandy 1000 with an 8088 processor
Agree with you here not only streaming but also stuff like stronger smart tv and mobile devices will eat console shares from the bottom, while on the other hand the PS5 chip will be used in laptops. Also pc has modding.MLGProPlayer wrote: »TequilaFire wrote: »In the end it won't matter as the gaming PC as we know it is going the way of the Dinosaur because of high production costs and the evolution of devices like smart TV, Internet of things devices, Smart Phones, Tablets and yes dedicated gaming boxes called consoles. Erm not sure where on Earth you live but the normal average person games on a console so getting on with your irl friends or work colleagues will 95% of the time be on a console.
Its social and chill.
All you have to do is look at this thread and see the dreamland that PC players live in. Pure delusion lmao you have this thing where you think you're cool but literally the rest of the entire planet thinks youre sweaty weirdos.
You're living in dreamland, the PC will go extinct soon enough
Oh my god enough with your “bu-but my pc is master race waaah!”deadsheepb14_ESO wrote: »You're living in dreamland, the PC will go extinct soon enough
Sure. I remember similar threads (in other forums) back when the very first Playstation came out (lol) and yet the PC is still here. Some people will always want the bleeding edge of performance and that will always be available only on the PC.
