So I saw someone mention Shuffle in another post and I realized...Armor Master still kinda sucks.
(2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(3 items) Adds 2975 Physical Resistance
(4 items) Adds 2975 Spell Resistance
(5 items) While you have an Armor Ability slotted, your Maximum Health is increased by 5%. When you use an Armor Ability, your Physical and Spell Resistance is increased by 5332 for 10 seconds.
Now looking at the stats it screams tanking set (Health and resistances) and seems good on paper with that amazing unique armor buff. However the requirement to use an armor ability is outdated, from an era when shuffle provided Proper Major Evasion (Dodge Chance) and was worth running. You also didn't have 5 piece medium in order run evasion. Now it's 5 piece heavy and immovable...it costs stamina and provides Major Resistances that tanks get elsewhere. Not to mention the massive uptime gap between Immovable (20s) and the set (10s). I have two proposals.
Option 1: Viable Beginner Set/Endgame Selfish Set for Tanks (i.e. Dragon, Plague Doctor, etc)
(2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(3 items) Adds 1475 Physical Resistance and Adds 1475 Spell Resistance
(4 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(5 items) While you have an Armor Ability slotted, your Physical and Spell Resistance is increased by 5332.
This option allows tanks to simply not have to refresh our major armor buffs and simply sustain on a large health pool and our regen. Obviously not a great set for endgame but it would fill the gap for a beginner crafted set for tanking.
Option 2: Set providing the option to run a medium armor tank.
(2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(3 items) Adds 2975 Physical Resistance
(4 items) Adds 2975 Spell Resistance
(5 items) While you have an One Hand and Shield Ability slotted, your Maximum Health is increased by 5%. When you use an Dodge an attack, your Physical and Spell Resistance is increased by 5332 for 25 seconds.
This set is kind of a hard sell application-wise bringing a medium armor tank into trials when that's unheard of. Although could be convenient in places such as vAS or vCR where we consistently dodge roll boss attacks to mitigate damage.
