Why Earthgore changes are a bad idea

Do we remember finding on the many things that are negative effects with earthgore? Now imagine this?

Earthgore + Stendarr + Cure Eater

Curse Eater
LEVEL 50 - CP 160
Set bonus
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(5 items) When you heal yourself or an ally with a direct heal ability, remove up to three negative effects from them. If a negative effect was removed this way, your target restores 600 Magicka. This effect can occur every 8 seconds.

Stendarr

2 items: Adds 1-129 Magicka Recovery
3 items: Adds 12-1096 Maximum Magicka
4 items: Adds 12-1096 Maximum Magicka
5 items: When you heal a friendly target, you have a 50% chance to remove up to 5 negative effects from them. This effect can occur once every 30 seconds per target.

Earthgore
Earthgore: This item set now instantly dispels all negative effects, rather than one. The heal granted from this set now only heals the target with the lowest health in the area, rather than the 6 lowest targets in the area.

* PvE
- There will not be a set to compete against nightflame in End game Trials
- Most aoe negative effects can't be removed when it matters.

Earthgore change while a nerf, is fine. Was too powerful on PVP, especially the CP campaign.

This set was complete cancer in PvP. In pve it also was cancer because it made healers lazy and was partially the reason people didn’t run healers in 4 man content.
Quit relying on proc sets to heal for you

I don't disagree, but the changes aren't for the better of either pve or pvp.

I don't know if the change can truly be called a nerf... it will be really strong 1v1 now, and the utility of being able to clear ground DoTs is much higher which IMO is better than the heal.

All negative effects removed is back and people are calling this a nerf? The heal was never the best part of the old Earthgore in my book.

ZOS should take the nerf further so it doesn´t remove ground based ultimates.

EG is used on healers in pve mostly for the purge and to heal one target anyway, so the PTS notes generally changes nothing for us. I believe the same goes for tanks, that the helm is meant mostly to proc on themselves (although I don't tank myself, so an expert would have to speak up on that).

Yes it's nice for stacks, but so are bogdan, lord warden, and rkugamz. The only exception to single-target use for EG that comes to my mind is burn strat on Chickens, where the purge and group heal were especially useful. But we will just wear something else instead, nbd. No need to screw over pvp just for one pve fight imo.

I have healers using Earthgore and do not care less about this change. Going to adapt easily as there are great healing sets round.

What this will resolve is cutting off the weed aka fake DD posing as healers, at any form of content.
Because there is a humongous amount of DDs, who just put earthgore believing they can pull healing even on trials. Making myself as healer trying to do the job of 2 in trials. Regardless if they are normal or vet.
