WBs should not ramp up so quickly (or at all) and should not reset immediately

I have done a continues (lightning staff) attacks on the later spawn salamanders and their health doesn't go down at all. I have also tried Crystal fragments repeatedly, but that doesn't do much at that point either.

And those who keep saying "do it with a group" need to reread what I posted. I was with a group, but the group did not have many strong players, so regular wipes were common.

    - The sea sload regularly hits fear and then pops something under me to nuke me quickly. Even breaking fear quickly and trying to heal is not always enough.

    - The single gryphon (bambi?) sometimes gets the red circle under me that can't be escape even when I run (it follows) and then fries the entire ground. I am dead quickly at that point most of the time, even with my pet healing me.

    - Getting 20 or more salamanders that are tough to even scratch usually means a wipe for Gravald.

I understand it is supposed to be challenging, but it is not fun as it is. Not ramping up as quickly would help, as would allowing some time to come back even if everyone dies. Yes, that would be somewhat unique behavior, but that would make it possible when the only ones there are not much better than I am.

I am clearly putting out enough DPS at times because I can usually draw aggro far too quickly, another things often leading to my death.

I strongly suspect the ramp up and hit harder bases purely on the number of players and that is not a good choice. It should take into account how powerful the characters are and how effectively they have been playing. Don't ramp up quickly if they are struggling. The goal should not be to kill off the group, but to let them have a chance, even if it takes a while.

The worst times are when the WB is down to 5% or less and everyone gets nuked. That is especially horrid with Gravald since his salamander spawns remain there and are just as hard to kill. You almost have to just abandon things and come back later in a case like that.

This is not a raid, it is what should be a fun world boss. Challenging is fine, but dying 5-6 times is not if I am not trying raid content.

Not pretty clear from where I stand...Graveld is actually an easy solo...that Indrik is a *** though...

I clicked on this expecting it to be about making the World Bosses bigger, more dramatic, more demanding of zone-level group play.

...which is something I would like to see. It's an MMO, it's not supposed to be an "oh, but you can solo everything" game.

There is (or was) a small issue specific to Caanerin and Graveld, where one panicked and fleeing player could drag the boss to the reset point, even while there are still players alive and doing damage within the arena.

@FlopsyPrince - the Summerset worlds bosses are tough. The world bosses in the newer content in general are tougher than most of those in the base game. The developers have made them much more difficult to solo - or even do in a group - by adding in some different mechanics and especially additional enemies that spawn. It can be pretty unforgiving at times and having a decent health pool is mandatory for approaching them, even in a group. I notice a lot of people dying to them, so you're not alone in your frustrations.

Is there something in particular you wanted advice on? Strategies will differ depending on the boss and your character. I don't think the developers are going to change their approach to the world bosses, so that means it is our job to adjust.

I agree about the add spawns. There are many that do this but the only one I can name right now is Graveld. Salamanders are a pain to kill. Graveld will periodically hide and send out hordes of little salamanders that just keep coming. Then he comes back out, but if you can't kill him fast enough he does it again! So you're overwhelmed with wave after wave of these things instead of the boss you came to kill. The WB in Murkmire has tons and tons of skeleton adds that you have to kill while the ground shakes. It's annoying. Just let us kill the boss please!

L2P issue. learn the mechanics to die less, adjust you're skills and gear to add survivability.

As someone who has soloed all of the Summerset bosses multiple times with 15K health, there are no one shots that cannot be avoided. All of the ad spawns are perfectly manageable with AOE damage. If you are a sorc, you have a shield and you should be using WoE, which will continually refreshes your magicka when it kills adds. You also have access to crit surge, which heals you constantly.

So to summarise this thread: The bosses are all soloable, but only because I have a sorc.

Would love to see a non sorc solo Wuyuvus for example. Even if you survive the pin on a non sorc, not everyone has 20 hours to spend on a single boss. Like tyhis very thread, seen many a folk brag or have an air of superiority about them about being able to solo the likes of Wuyuvus, but I could count on one finger how many people have actually successfully solo'd the likes of Wuyuvus after bragging or telling others to "Git Gud" in guild chat.

Now, don't take the above as me wanting the bosses made easier/more difficult, I just happen to think a lot of people who respond to these type of threads live in their own little laa laa land bubbles.

World Bosses are group content. Soloable or not they're meant to be done with a group. Get a bigger group if the entire group is wiping.

It would probably also help if those fights weren't so glitchy. For example:

    - Today I was doing Keelsplitter, or whatever's the giant winged snake called, and its ranged area attacks were knocking me down in the middle of dodge, then immediately following with a second attack in the same place before I could even get up (let alone dodge again). It wasn't lag, either (my ping is solid 80-90).

    - Yesterday I unwittingly attempted to solo Nilthog (the guy who pulled it ran away), and that vile thing was downright cheating. It kept knocking me down without any telegraphs. I was standing and then I was lying flat, just like that, without even a knockdown animation. It was happening all the time, even when I was blocking, and afterwards I couldn't get back up for like twenty seconds. (Still got the sucker down to half the healthbar before it finally killed me with this glitch abuse! :p )

That's true. But Wuyuvus is an exception to the rule. Most World Bosses don't have built in mechanics like that to make them so difficult to solo.
